I met Eric Reed, owner, general manager, and salesman of Eco Turf & Pavers in late March 2019. I had been looking for a landscaping company in San Diego, CA, to come in and rock my world with a whole new look in landscaping. That is exactly what Eco Turf & Pavers did.

Start to finish was less than 7 weeks. That included the first meeting with Eric and reviewing photo renderings showing ideas of the landscaping project 2 days later. I received a quote that day and signed a contract with Eco Turf & Pavers. We selected the type of turf and 2 colored rocks used in the project that Eric has as samples. Funding was secured within the next 3 days.

The landscaping took less than 6 weeks. The house is elevated 4 – 5 feet from the street level and is a corner house. The front yard has turf that is contoured and runs along the front sidewalk and tapers down along the side street. This extends to about ½ the length of the property on the side street.

A dark colored rock closely matching the color of the roof and a light colored rock closely matching the color of the house is used in the front yard. The side yard, back yard, and slope down to the side street sidewalk uses the light colored rock only.

The back yard is the Showpiece. The light colored rock forms a border in the back yard along the side yard and back yard fences. This extends to the far corner of the property. In the far corner there is a large orange tree, two small lemon trees, and a newly-built 10’ x 12’ wooden shed. The remainder of the back yard has 250 sq. ft. of grass that surrounded by turf, a putting green, and a sand trap. The sand trap is closest to the side street. The putting green is near the large orange tree. The idea is to use the large orange tree to stop any errant golf balls exploding from the sand trap.

The landscaping gets plenty of attention from passers’ by. People who saw the property before and see it now are just amazed. I've also given out a dozen or so business cards to people who say they are interested in changing their property landscape.

The crew was very professional. They always let me know what they were going to be doing that day or that week depending upon the task. The work was made difficult by the amount of growth from 45 to 50 year old trees and shrubs whose root system was a maze below ground level. But the crew handled this well.

I couldn’t have imagined anything better than what Eco Turf & Pavers produced. The end product is just fantastic. I am hoping this review is one way to pay back Eco Turf & Pavers. It’s more than just $$$. It’s the feeling I get every time I pull up to the house. I've lived here most of my life. I can't remember smiling as much as I do when I get home.

A few years ago, I competitively bid out an artificial turf project for my home. I received several quotes at the time, and Eco Turf and Pavers stood out with the most competitive pricing. I ended up postponing the project, but when I recently decided to move forward, I reached back out to them. They quickly provided an updated quote that was still very reasonable, so I moved ahead.

From start to finish, their communication was excellent and the workmanship was top-notch. The crew put in a solid 12-hour day to get the job done, and the results were fantastic.

After the installation, we ran into an issue where a window reflection caused a small burn spot in the turf. Rich was incredibly responsive and helpful in resolving the problem quickly and professionally. He takes pride in his work and truly cares about customer satisfaction. As a bonus, Rich is also a veteran, which I really appreciate and respect.

I would absolutely recommend Eco Turf and Pavers to anyone looking for high-quality turf work at a fair price. Great experience...

Over past 2+ years, Eric and his crew finished two backyard remodeling projects for me. In the first one (circa 2022), they transformed a newly constructed dirt backyard into a lush green yard which looks and feels like a natural grass yard but it's 100% turf. He uses turf that's very soft and feels similar to the real thing. I haven't felt anything similar in the big box store samples. The second job (March 2025) was to remodel an existing backyard. This job was a bit more complicated as it required filling steep slopes with rocks in addition to turf.

I would 100% work with Eric again because price is much better than competitors and no surprise billing (price quoted is the price I paid) quality of work is exceptional and Eric will redo anything you don't like (no questions asked) very good communication and responded within minutes to my questions/concerns Eric's crew is polite, punctual, and professional.
