Unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience here, and I don’t recommend it for prenatal massage or foot massage.
I’m 8 months pregnant and my feet have been killing me so I made an appointment for a 1 hour foot massage ($60). When I arrived, the man at the front desk informed me that because I’m pregnant, I’d have to pay the maternity massage pricing ($100) but he’d give me $10 off. Then he showed me to my room, where I was instructed to undress and lay on the table. Now I love a nude, reclining massage, but it wasn’t what I wanted that day. The massage therapist had me lie on my side in the beginning, and then the other side, which is standard protocol for prenatal massage. Then he asked me to lie on my back, which is incredibly uncomfortable at 8 months pregnant. I did it for a few minutes until it became painful, then I explained that I can’t lie flat on my back because of the baby, and needed to be on my side. I figured he would know that, since they offer maternity massage and I paid extra for it, but he insisted that i lie on my back, physically rolling my toes pointing up when I tried to at least put myself on an angle. He worked on my feet/legs for about half the time, and for most of that time I was waiting for it to be over because I was in pain. I eventually sat fully upright for some of it, and then laid back down a little tilted to one side.
When I left the room, I went to explain to the man at the front desk the problem that I had, which was really awkward since the massage therapist stood there listening. He gave me no understanding, just argued with me. I said that it’s unreasonable to have me pay extra for maternity when their therapists don’t know very basic things about the needs of pregnant women. He said that I had agreed to the price ahead of time, and that lying on my back was just a suggestion. He just kept arguing with me, and asking me to tip, until I was out the door.
I hate not tipping. The massage therapist was clearly skilled and caring, and I blame the business for the pricing and advertisement. I told him that the tip should come out of the amount I already paid extra, as I knew I would feel resentful if I paid $90 plus tip to be in pain.
Anyways, I’m sure the normal massages are great. But they don’t do a traditional foot massage, they don’t do a good maternity massage, and they certainly don’t believe in making their...
Read moreI came here for a couples massage and the guy who was massaging me was way too rough. Even after informing him that it was too rough, he did it even more rough. Even after we were done, they forced me to tip them. I tipped $20 when they kept insisting on $30. Never coming back again. Also, no parking so good luck!
Response: First of all, the way you came across very defensive to the wrong person says alot about you and your company. I came last week for a couples massage and both of the masseuse were late to our session even though we were early. And the sheer fact that the male masseuse was waiting on the lobby making sure we tip says alot. Have the day you deserve and I will be reporting your unprofessional response to BBB! I have...
Read moreThis was my first time getting a professional massage, and I am sad I didn't get one sooner! The staff here is not only amazing at what they do, they are very, very kind, cheery, and great to talk to! I am so used to having really tense shoulders more than anything else, and it was very nice to feel truly relaxed across my whole body! The prices are great, and the environment is outstanding. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!! P.s. I highly recommend the hot stones! They were amazing! That mixed with the hour long deep tissue massage was one of the best things...
