North Park Recreation Center — Local services in San Diego

Large woman at the front desk says she's not here to help or manage anything and the kids are not her concern. Told me to have a nice day while I asked for assistance at 7pm.

There is one reason I come here and it's the excellent basketball coach. I'll be back regularly to support my kids and the others that attend there regardless of what the children that "run" the place claim to do. Don't expect the rude employees that are supposed to help the facility to do anything except have chats in the dark in the back office where I found them when I needed information.

Lovely park and the perfect addition to the neighborhood as well as a great place for kids to play. At least it was until recently when authorities along with Parks and Recreation let it turn into a camp for homeless people. We spoke with police a few times and they keep saying that there's nothing they can do about it. Came here for the first time to play pickleball! We ended up playing on the outside tennis courts where they have pickleball lines and borrowed a net from the rec center to use. It was a little run down and they used to have nice pickleball nets that rolled on but it wasn’t taken care of properly so now they have the bagged ones. Total of 2 marked pickleball courts. Found out there’s free pickleball open play for free that’s indoors, MWF! Also...
