This place is awesome!!! Tiffany is amazing and knows what she is doing. I'm fairly low-key when it comes to my haircuts and usually just get it done at any random place that's convenient and has availabillty. This has meant that even though I've been asking for the same style for the past 15+ years, it always ends up looking pretty different depending on how good the person is, with the outcome ranging from great to straight up janky, with layers flipping out in random directions. Well I stumbled upon Haircuts at Tiffany's and it has now become my go-to place. She took a look at my hair and could tell what kind of style I was going for, and also was able to analyze the technique from my most recent haircut that had made my layers look weird. She worked her magic and less than an hour later, my hair came out exactly how I had been wanting it!
But what I love about this place just as much as the quality of the haircut is the overall experience and environment. Some people enjoy the social aspect of a salon, the chatter and connection. Personally, with a baby at home and a hectic people-facing job, I love to be able to just relax and enjoy a rare moment of quiet while getting my hair cut. Tiffany read the room and allowed me to rest and didn't force me to engage in small talk. So relaxing. Between the hair wash/scalp massage (which was so good it deserves 5 stars all on its own), dry, cut, and style, I was sooo relaxed to the point of actually falling asleep, not just once but twice! When I woke up, I was so pleased with the cut. Didn't know my hair could look like that. Love!
So in summary I highly recommend Haircuts at Tiffany's of course if you're looking for a great haircut, but especially so if you're craving a self-care moment of peace and relaxation, and maybe even want to sneak in a quick nap! Thank...
Read moreI was a walk in appointment and the staff was incredibly accommodating when it came to fitting my haircut into their busy day. While I was out in California visiting my sister, I really needed a haircut after not having one done in almost a year. After looking at the “top salons” of San Diego, most of them seemed over priced and lacking. Like many salons I’ve visited in the past, the cut are typically way too expensive for the little time that is put into it. Needless to say, different from most “high end salons” Haircut at Tiffany’s was still on that top list and San Diego, and I can see why!!! To my surprise, Tiffany herself cut my hair. And I must say, it was by far the most beautiful haircut I’ve ever had!!! I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and she spent good quality time producing an outstanding quality haircut. Not to mention her hands are magic! She gives an incredibly relaxing head massage when washing hair. She does fantastic work, and you can tell she cares about her work and her clients. She is extremely knowledgeable and knows exactly what she is doing. Passionate and hardworking, I’m so glad I walked in that day. Not only was I blown away by my beautiful haircut, the price was affordable!! Will be back next time I visit my sister in California, wish she was out here in Boston, MA so I could book with her more often!!...
Read moreFirst & last time I will ever go there. The lady who cut my hair was rude and kept man handling me. She kept saying it was mandatory to get your hair washed and styled. After I told her I washed it that morning she stopped insisting. She then said she will be charging me $10 for “wavy hair” even though my hair was stick straight because I straightened it prior to my appointment. I’ve never heard of such a fee prior to going there. I told her 3 separate times i wanted short side-swept bangs and I showed her pictures but she kept insisting my bangs looked better long with the haircut I got. The thing is, I never asked for her opinion. Getting my bangs cut was the main reason why I decided to get a haircut in the first place. After I told her for the third time she said she would need to cut more hair from the sides to achieve the look I wanted, which I agreed to. She proceeded to ignore me and eventually said she was finished. At the end there were a ton of small hairs on my face which she did not even attempt to brush or blow dry off. After I paid and signed the merchant receipt she proceeded to ask if I wanted to leave a tip, to which I replied “no”. I don’t know if she thought putting me on the spot would pressure me into tipping, but think again! She can use the “wavy hair” fee as her tip....
