Let me start my review by telling you that my husband was diagnosed with shingles, three times in one year, the sores left, the pain never did. The formal name is Postherpetic Neuralgia (PHN) and this chronic disease has big knarly teeth. His normal pain level was between a 5 and 7, his bad days when it flared up, you dont even want to know. This is an unimaginable experience to watch your partner go through, let alone watch your two young children modified their lives to accommodate this insanity. After three years of this, my husband now completely hook on opiates, the mg count only increasing, we are getting no where. The pain slows for nothing, and he is not getting better.
Finding Dr. Teresa was the single ray of light in this dark time. From our first appointment she tells us that this situation is definitely unique and that she'd give us everything she had to try and help his body heal. For a solid year we were in her office, nearly every day (not a joke), she researched and put us in touch with a range of different things to explore. She put us in touch with the most brilliant acupuncturist and, would come in on her days off to give him chiropractic before acupuncture. Then one day I got the call, crying husband, "I don't feel any pain!". He came home, my son looked at his face and said "Dad!! Is that you?". It only lasted four hours, but this was the most amazing moment, something worked. Some combination of all these therapies Dr T guided us through worked.
Dr. T then put us in touch with another Dr who has a hyperbaric chamber, and with this, we were there four days a week for two to three hours at a time, on top of the other treatments, my husband went on leave of absence because he couldn't stay away, he slept for 20 hours a day. Soon he could go two weeks with no pain. Two weeks!!
When Dr. T told me she was moving to San Diego, I couldn't even talk. My heart was completely broken, but she had put everything in place that needed to be done for our future. She kept walking me though my days and though now I haven't spoken to her in quite a while, she should know, after two years tapering down from those stupid pain meds, he took his last opiate this morning. While I'm sure some really horrible days are ahead for that final withdrawal, nothing like we've been through.
Its been nearly a year now since he's felt any pain, as long as he keeps going to nominal treatments.
I can't say enough about Dr. T, can't put into words the impact one person can have on a life. I can't thank her enough or give a big enough rave of a review. You are in the best...
Read morefeel so fortunate to have found Teresa and LiveSmart Chiropractic! Dr. Teresa Crossley began seeing me in my 2nd trimester. I have always gone to a chiropractor throughout my fertility treatments, but never to someone who specialized in maternal and infant care. What a difference!! It sounds like a no-brainer, but even if you love your chiropractor, while pregnant and in post partum, seeing someone specialized in what is going on with your body is so important.
I’m 42 years old having my first baby and my entire pregnancy I was amazing! No aches, no gestational diabetes, no preeclampsia, no scares - I felt truly fortunate to be able to have the quality of care that she provided.
Now that I am a mom, getting around is hard! She books up, but is flexible! Once you’re in her care she will work with you on scheduling. Being able to bring my baby in for a family visit and both be seen is so critical during the newborn stage. My baby and I had a rough delivery so it was very important to me that he was checked out to ensure no tightness so he could latch well while breast feeding. We were able to get in and she knows how to handle newborns. Don’t be scared! If your baby cries, when your baby cries I should say, she is gentle and won’t rush him or her along. There’s a softness to her.
I can’t say enough great things about her! And she’s...
Read moreI first came to Dr. Teresa out of curiosity, so I brought all 3 of my kids ages newborn to 5 at the time. I've heard great things about chiropractic, but I didn't want to believe it until I saw results. Over the last 4 years, Dr. Teresa and Dr. Trevor have supported me during postpartum and pregnancy (out of my 4 pregnancies, my last one with the support of Dr. Teresa was my best one), helped my child through injuries (broken arm, bike crashes, neck pains), helped my baby with nursing/latching issues/tongue tie, helped my husband through back injuries, helped one of my children with bedwetting, helped me with rare migraines, pointed me to other referrals if I needed more help, AND helped me deal with insurance! I'm so thankful for their support for our family and they have changed a lot about how we think about healthcare! They are way more hands on in our day to day health than our own primary care doctors! I've personally recommended a lot of my friends to them...so this public review is a long time coming! Thank you, Dr. Teresa and...
