MC Smoke & Vape — Local services in San Diego

I wanted so badly to love this place. Came in maybe a week ago with a friend and my dog. The guy working was super nice (hence the 2 stars vs 1) and was excited to help us try out this new vape called Lucid Air. This vape boasted a whopping 5,000 hits and he said was sure to last me weeks if not a month! Which is how I reconciled dropping $32 (!!!!!) on this singular vape. I used to purchase other vapes for $17 and those usually last me about 2 weeks. My friend and I got the rainbow sherbet and aloe grape flavors at the shop guy’s raining endorsement for his favorite flavors. (They both taste like grape FYI)

This vape didn’t even last me a week. Day 2, it’s already gurgling and popping, so I leave it alone for a day, hoping maybe it will go back to normal. Day 4, it seems to be working okay. I still get the occasional gurgle that sounds like my vape is drowning. Day 5, it starts hitting weird, with indicators that the battery is dying. The light sometimes goes on or it fades away quickly or doesn’t hit at all. Day 6, it full on dies, its flashing light a beacon of frustration.

I’m so very disappointed. The man working couldn’t recommend this vape enough and I was so excited, despite being very hesitant to drop such a crazy amount on a vape (nearly double what I usually spend). But I thought, heck, this one will last me a month since it’s got 5,000 hits!! Too good to be...

Swung into MC Smoke today and got helped by North, a straight-up legend behind the counter. Dude clocked what I was after in about three seconds, walked me through the shelves like a tour guide to Valhalla, and somehow leveled up my whole setup without a hint of upsell hustle.

North’s product knowledge? Next-level. Glass, coils, exotic wraps—you name it, he’s got the specs, the hacks, and the maintenance tips ready to go. Shop was buzzing, but North kept it smooth, making jokes and firing off recommendations so everyone walked out grinning.

Bottom line: if every smoke shop had a North, gear-hunting would be an extreme sport worth training for. Give this man a raise and a cape. I’m not shopping...

Come on a Friday and ask for Kevin. He's awesome. I got one of their house blends. El Nido. It's cantaloupe, kiwi, and coconut. It might just be my new all day vape. Anyway, awesome shop. It's super nice in there. There's a pool table and lots of comfy looking couches. They've got a pretty huge selection of juices, mods, tanks, coils... Whatever you need. Looking forward to trying more of the house blends in the future, and will definitely...
