Went there to exchange a gift (too small) a friend gave to me for my bday. When my friend bought the gift at another lululemon store they forgot to take the sensor off (which in my mind would not be a problem since I had the gift receipt). When I went to the register and explained I was exchanging the gift but there was the sensor I got this bad attitude from one of the ladies. She started to look to her co workers and to make faces that were definitely not nice. Someone else came to talked to her and then another person and when I saw it there were like 5 of them talking and making faces and I was just standing there waiting for 5 minutes, then finally one of them (I believe the manager) came to me and said they would not take the return and I should call a number and try to get approved if I want to exchange the gift. When I told her I had the gift receipt she scanned and said the receipt was looking weird... I asked how weird bcs at this point I really didn’t understand anything anymore and she obviously didn’t have an answer to my question. She was not making any effort to listen to me or to explain the situation and her attitude was rude. I left there feeling such a bad energy and I can guarantee I won’t be back there... it doesn’t matter if you work at lululemon or at a small cheap clothing store you should treat people nice... So I had to waste my trip to the mall bcs of a mistake someone else from lululemon made (by forgetting to take the sensor off) and also be treated like I’m a weirdo... very sad to see such a big store treating people like that and not giving literally a sh... about their customers... I selected a beige top, and while the male shop assistant was folding it at checkout, I noticed a dark grey stain about 3cm in size on the front of the garment. As I focused on it to make sure, the assistant—perhaps sensing my gaze—quickly covered the stain with his palm, then began adjusting the garment while distracting me with conversation. He flipped the garment down, making me question whether I had actually seen the stain or if it was just the lighting.
Still uncertain, I decided to check the garment myself. The moment I pointed out the stain, the shop assistant immediately dismissed my concern, saying it was “obviously washable” and that if I didn’t want to wash it, I could simply refuse to buy it. I found this response extremely irresponsible—how could he guarantee the stain was removable when he didn’t even know what caused it? If I purchased the item, removed the tags, and then found that the stain couldn’t be washed out, I would have no way to return it. Would the assistant personally refund me in that case?
It was clear that instead of ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction, he was trying to shift the risk onto the customer, which is completely unacceptable. Why should a consumer be pressured into purchasing a stained item, especially when the salesperson deliberately tried to hide the issue?
