JAMAICAN ME CRAZEE ! Without a doubt the best burgers we've had in America. My wife and I were down in San Diego for a fun packed weekend...Padres game on Friday night and Stray Cats concert at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park on Saturday night. We were staying at a Marriott hotel handy to all the action. At 4.30pm on Saturday our pre-booked Lyft ride took us to Crazee Burger. We would much rather eat top quality food here than pay stupid prices for average no name stuff at the concert venue. It was a little quiet when we walked inside around 4.45pm. A guy we know as Chef Conor helped me at the cashier counter when I ordered our dinner...1 x Jamaican Burger ( 6 oz Cajun blackened patty, sautéed peaches, pepper jack, lettuce, pickle, tomato & onion ), 1 x Dansk Burger ( 6 oz beef patty, blue cheese crumbles, lettuce, pickle, tomato & onion ) and a side of Sidewinder Fries ( Thick spiral fry meets curly fry ). I asked what hazy IPA's they had on tap and was told Bay City Brewing "Jucci Gang" was a good one....in fact it was an 8.5% abv hazy double IPA. I paid upfront and Chef Conor handed me a glass of ice cold beer & table no 33. We sat at a table against the wall facing towards the bar. WOW ! I have to say my Bay City Brewing "Jucci Gang" Hazy DIPA tasted as good as gets.....rich orange flavor and very juicy. The place was gettin' busy fast while we waited for our dinner order. WHAM BAM ! Chef Conor ( also the co-owner ) brought everything out to our table....a very polite man. DANG ! I had the Jamaican Burger last time we were here...and I had to have it again. Who would have thought of whacking peaches on a burger ! And my wife was a repeater with her Dansk Burger....loves blue cheese. YEAH BABY ! Eat those sidewinder fries while they're hot...too delicious for words with our dipping sauces Lemon & Chive Aioli plus Nacho Cheese. My Jamaican Burger knocked it clean outa the ball park...I loved it to death ! We kinda took our time finishin' up...hardly a sidewinder fry left and I drained my delicious hazy DIPA to the last drop. Chef Conor dropped over to check that we were happy with everything...yes indeed. Just before 6pm we headed out the front door to meet up with our pre-booked Lyft ride to take us to the Stray Cats concert at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park. There are heaps of burger joints but there is only one Crazee Burger. COME...

My husband and I live in the neighborhood and needed to wash some laundry next door so we decided to get some food. It was 6:30 on a Saturday and there was nobody in line or dining up front. Which would've been cool if after examining the menu we didn't have to stand there awkwardly with the man behind the counter completely ignoring us. After a few minutes of him scribbling on a notepad he glanced up and said "give me 2 minutes" and leaves. He finally comes back and scribbles some more, some customers come in from the patio to tell him the toilet was overflowing, and then he finally asks if we are ready to order. This was weird and rude. I ordered a double dansk with frings and a shake. My husband however ordered "the special, the rib eye sandwich and a side of fries and a coke" my food came quick. Instead of the special though, my husband got a different fixed daily special. He is nicer than me and more conflict adverse, so I told the server it was the wrong order. He took it and communicated it to the front of house jerk who basically ignored it, and us, until the waiter began to get his attention while motioning at us. I told him and reiterated what he ordered actually and he said it would be right out. After waiting a long time and eating fries but trying to wait for his food to eat my burger, we agreed I should eat my burger. I had finished my food and given him half my fries before his order came.

It feels like they're under new management or ownership and though they've had a spiffy new remodel and the food was pretty good (mine was great, but instead of the French roll we thought came with the rib eye sandwich there was a smashed piece of bread, toasted??); That guy behind the counter seemed like he'd prefer to be anywhere but there and just vibed nepo-hire.

Idk if I'll go back. Right now I'm just disappointed this place gave such...

I used to love Crazee Burger, The burger special was always great to get when you wanted a beer and a burger. That being said the last couple of times I have been there the burgers are under cooked. Last night my daughter and I went, I ordered the Jamaican, she got the Napoli Burger. I clearly stated I wanted mine well done.

Burgers come out and both of them are really pink inside the burger. I put it down and was about to go complain, but my daughter decided she would just go ask them to recook it. 5 minutes goes by and the come back with the same burger. I bite into it and it looks cooked and tastes fine, so the chef goes on back. A few bites more and it is still pink in the middle. I couldn't finish my burger and I felt as though I could send it back 5 more times and the thing would still MOO at me. It made me sick, I ate maybe 5 bites of the whole burger.

My daughter couldn't eat hers either. We went home feeling unwell, and with empty stomachs. I for one will not be eating at Crazee Burger ever again. It is as if they are cooking on high flames, and over cooking the outside and under cooking the insides. This is not the only time this has happened there, but the last time I thought it was just an accident. Well you don't under cook "well done" several times and chalk it up as a mistake. IF you like raw meat then go to Crazee burger, otherwise you might want to...

Excellent exotic burgers! The double Patty venison burger and salmon sandwich are our "go to" faves. But all the other burgers are great too. Each sandwich is a gourmet delight. The regular and sweet potato fries are crispy and very flavorful. This is one of the few San Diego restaurants that takes pride in their unusual menu and charges fair prices. I have tried just about every burger on their menu and they were all delicious. Tried the new camel burger with a double patty. It was very good and not gamey at all. Update: Got the double patty Venison burger, a Jamaican burger, and the regular fries. Everything was excellent as usual. Update: Got the double patty Venison burger, Salmon sandwich, Sfrings (1/2 Sweet Potato Fries/1/2 Onion Rings). Excellent as usual. The best burger restaurant in San Diego County! Update: Got the double patty Venison burger, Salmon sandwich, and Sweet Potato Fries. Excellent! Update; Got a double patty Venison Burger. Excellent! Update: Got a double patty Camel Burger. Excellent! Update: Got two Salmon sandwiches and a Venison burger. Everything was excellent! Update: Got an El Jacobo burger and a Dutch Chocolate Shake, a Crack of Dawn combo, and a two patty Venison Burger. Everything was excellent!

If you’re looking for a truly unique and adventurous dining experience, Crazee Burger is the place to go! I recently tried their alligator, camel, and ostrich burgers, and each one was a culinary adventure in its own right. The alligator burger was a pleasant surprise, with a texture similar to chicken but a slightly richer, more savory flavor. The seasoning complemented the meat perfectly, making it juicy and flavorful. The camel burger was another standout. It had a lean yet tender texture with a mild, almost beef-like taste. It was well-seasoned, and the toppings enhanced its unique flavor without overpowering it. Finally, the ostrich burger was my favorite. It was incredibly tender, with a slightly gamey but delicious flavor. It felt indulgent yet light, thanks to its lean profile, and paired beautifully with the fresh, crisp toppings. Crazee Burger delivers on its promise of bold and exotic options while maintaining great quality and flavor. The atmosphere is casual and fun, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, helping guide you through their adventurous menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking to step out of their comfort zone and try something extraordinary!

I came here on a weekday with my dog around 4pm (before happy hour) and it was pretty dead. My dog and I sat in the indoor/outdoor area. Staff was nice and service was quick. I didn't get a burger, just the chili. I LOVE chili and have been trying to find the best chili in San Diego. I didn't see many chili reviews so I hope this helps someone. The chili had amazing flavor... like really good. It does have a bit of a kick, so this isn't for you if you can't handle mild to medium spicy. What brought the rating down was the consistency of the chili. It was literally like a soup broth with ground beef/bell pepper/black beans/chunk tomato. I included a pic for reference. I just cannot imagine they actually spoon this onto someone's hotdog or burger without draining the broth as much as they can from the spoon--it's that watery. It was honestly so disappointingly ridiculous. I also think they overdid it with the tomatoes and could have added more ground beef. Whoever made this, I hope you refine the recipe because it is SO delicious and has a ton of potential.
