Today, was a semi spa day as I am getting ready for a wedding tomorrow. It was last minute that my thoughtful beau offered to cover my mani pedi to help me relax and save time so I had to find a place nearby lady minute that was open until 8pm as I was doing my hair mid afternoon and didn't finish until 6:30pm! . I walked in to find one waiting for her feet to dry at a pedicure station and another woman being serviced at a manicure station. A woman with long light brown hair that has a red blonde tint and black rimmed spectacles greeted me and asked me what service I would like. I signed in on a clipboard and was ushered to a pedicure station with a plush arm chair and then offered a choice of beverage. I'm uncertain if the white wine cost more, but I was definitely dehydrated and went with the water. . They had two technicians complete my regular manicure and pedicure simultaneously. I kind of wish they waited until I was done with my pedicure, but I understand the idea of doing two things at once to save time. The gentleman working my feet did a great job, super high attention to detail, efficient and a steady hand. My manicure on the other hand, not so much. The tech missed some of the corners of my nail bed and I asked her to go over them, but it still looked messy. I expressed my concern to the gentleman doing my feet and he said the woman that greeted me would help. Ideally, I would have liked for him to do my manicure as well, but there was a slight miscommunication. She got to work with their tilted brush and some nail polish remover to make it look cleaner and although that helped, I saw the gentleman offer for her to wipe my whole nail and do it over as they spoke in their native tongue and she refused. It did look somewhat better and they were closing soon so I didn't make a fuss. . Service overall was great and I paid $55 with tip. They also accept Apple Cash, Venmo and other digital payments. I would love to get a gel manicure here and see if that standard is better compared to the regular. I'm wiling to coming here again. Thank you NP Nail Lounge for the Saturday...
Read moreI’ve been going to this place for quite a while and although their services aren’t fantastic, they do a pretty good job overall. However, today is a totally different story… I came in for a simple pedicure as well as a manicure. All I wanted was French tip, nails and toes. Pretty easy you would think. I showed the girl a picture of what I wanted and I got nothing close to what I asked for. The lady doing my nails, Cut me three times and made my fingers bleed. My nails look terrible. I walked out with pink toes, not at all what I wanted, but she decided that I needed to have pink toes and not what I asked for. I asked her to be careful of one of my feet, I had a blister. Probably wise not to touch it. Well guess what??? She scrubbed that foot so hard. I had to remind her not to do that to my foot and she said she forgot.,🙄 She overcharged me by A LOT and didn’t tell me ahead of time. . When I told her that I was not satisfied with the services, Jennifer said their work was perfect, my nails and toes were perfect. I asked for a refund, and they said no. Jennifer said that They did nothing wrong and it was all my fault and she didn’t know what I was complaining about. She told me the salon would call me tomorrow?? Why tomorrow? The issue needs to be resolved NOW. Jennifer made it seem like they were inconvenienced while doing my nails and toes. I was the ONLY customer in the salon. If you don’t want to be there… find another job or close on Sundays or holidays. Beware of this place. And after making me bleed…. Those tools should have been sterilized for the next customer as I would expect it to be done for me. They go right back into the same place they were when she did my nails. As a paying customer, they need to make this right instead of blaming the customer. I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted and I got nothing even remotely close to what I asked for. And Jennifer is...
Read moreWhile the people were nice and accommodating, the quality of the gel manicure was far from good. At first, nail surface was filed so roughly that its chunks were sticking out through nail polish, and the employee just negligently put more product on top of it (still unsuccessfully covering rough surface). Cuticle was barely worked on at all which is normally an important step of the good manicure. Next, for the design I asked for, I was handed over to another person (who seemed to be a daughter of the store manager and also very new to the whole process) because the first person had to go to another client. Towards the end of the design completion, the store manager stopped by and seemingly critiqued the work of the employee (in the foreign language), but still didn’t do anything to fix it. As a result, they all saw how sloppy it turned out and gave me $5 off “for my patience”, so I ended up paying “just” $70 for this thick uneven layer of gel with huge gaps between the nail cuticle and polish. While I understand that new employees need to take their time and space to practice their craft, I believe the clients should have a choice to opt out of being the testing ground and the price should be dropped way more than by $5 in such case. Attached is the photo of the work...
