Read moreIf I can give this place a zero, I would. The rooms are not bad. However, water is always turned off. Maintenance is always being performed. They try to make you forget by Having breakfast or whatever but realistically, it doesn’t make up for the fact of running water half the time no hot water half the time and maintenance being performed constantly on the fire alarms and what not. Not only that but their front desk Staff and admin team are a joke. I moved out of the Beacon in October 2023 and just received a letter from the Pacific Beacon saying that I owed 140 some dollars the first letter I got from them was in February 2024. They threatened to send my information to the credit bureau to essentially take my credit and in their letter they even said that if I don’t pay this, they will make sure that it is difficult for me to get into an apartment. when I moved out, I was not informed of this, never got a letter, never even got so much as a phone call. This place is trashy and honestly just not worth it. I think the better move is to stay in the barracks It sucks because you don’t have your own room but at least you don’t get screwed over constantly. And if you have a rate that advances quickly, the beacon is definitely not worth it! You will be forced to pay a lot of money. If you break your lease, they have no leniency. it’s better to just stay away...
Read moreIf you are E4 this is your only option for comfortable living outside from your ship or barracks and does provide some nice things like a mail room and gym. Outside from those amenities once you put on E5 and are excited about receiving BAH and moving to your own place and collecting some extra money this is when things get complicated. You MUST read between the lines with all the fees and clauses they will put on you and more than likely you will be paying a hefty termination fee. I highly recommend you have a meeting with the admin dept. and see everything in writing and compare all your dates of when you receive E5 payment with how it will effect your termination fee. This is a business and they do not care about active duty service members. You could have the room professionally cleaned and you will still pay over 200 dollars in cleaning fees upon moving out. I hope this helps the next person because they sure won’t look...
