Wow, what a cool place to record. The room was built out in the 1970's so the construction is old school, comfortable and right on the mark in terms of acoustics. Alan Sanderson, the owner has combined the best aspects of analog recording and married that with modern digital techniques to get a warm old school sound but with all the modern bells and whistles current technology has to offer. You can tell right away it's gonna be a good experience when you see the musicians relaxed, happy and jokin' around. Alan is the consummate professional. He's laid back, friendly and makes you feel right at home. However don't let that So Cal vibe fool you, Alan is one of the most efficient producers, engineers I have ever worked with. He gets a rich fully fleshed out sound while not wasting the budget. And why wouldn't he, seeing as he has a Grammy and 11 Gold and Multi-platinum records to his credit. Another great thing about Alan and Pacific Beat, the guy know everybody. You need a session drummer, mandolin player, a vocal coach or even a Sitar or Tabla player for your session; he's got a pro as close as his iPhone. If you are looking for a great location to record, I'd check Pacific Beat. You can surf down the street in the morning, be at your session by 10 am and have dinner when you’re done next door at a sports pub or a...

I highly recommend Alan Sanderson, recording engineer/producer, for your next...
Read moreI can't say enough that would describe what an incredible human being Alan Sanderson is. As an engineer and producer, his skills are unmatched by few, in my humble opinion. The studio feels like anyone's cool and comfy home, and is equipped with just enough technology and instruments to produce a vibe to match. I'm more than grateful for the work Alan, and his musician friends transformed my silly little demo into a monstrous tune I never saw coming! Truly. With the masterful finishing touches in mixing, mastering, and following through to my ever-evolving technical requests. What a guy! His moto: "ya can't mute it if ya don't record it." Thank you,...
