I just bought a birthday card, a single bottle of wine, a chicken, and some salad here. Got home and the card is missing. The receipt is missing. I called to ask if they had it and the young man who answered the phone hung up on me. In addition to being expensive the store seems run down and under stocked. They have a good steak selection sometimes but things like cat food and veggies are overpriced or the aisles are empty. Some of the cashiers are unpleasant. The stores flooring is damaged and the store is run down. I spent 20 minutes driving back and wasting gas to ask the manager if someone found the card. Not really worth my time but it’s my neighbors birthday. They went full blown argument over a birthday card. The manager said nobody fitting that cashier description works here. I said I will show you the charge on my bank account. It was wild. She said - after some arguing - to get another card. On my way out the cashier showed up and the manager yelled LORI DID YOU SELL HER A CARD. It was super fun to have everyone stare at me. My name is Nathaniel I’m 17 years old and I’ve lived in Point Loma my entire life I have always used Stumps as a go to as it is very close to my house and I can not always drive for necessities. One morning I go to grab something from Stumps for breakfast when I’m stopped by a worker. She has white died hair with her dark roots growing in and an extremely tight ponytail. She seemed like a manager and maybe the ponytail was too tight which made her so rude. She asked if I was a student. I reply yes and she than tells me I’m not allowed to shop there. I try to ask why, I say I just need some sugar but she very aggressively stops me and rudely tells me if I want it I can go to the gas station next door. She points to the gas station and basically send us away. A bystander had witnessed and offered to buy my sugar. On a Wednesday afternoon we visited this group of businesses in a motorhome that took two spaces while the multi-business shared parking lot was fairly empty. Started off with 9 loads of laundry at the clean facility called Launderland, ate good tasting lunch at Cotijas, got a haircut at Lynn's, and shopped at Rushing Liquor. While one of us was folding our last loads laundry in the laundromat, I was putting away laundry in the motorhome just before we were going to visit the grocery store. Just then a very rude man named Mike pounded on the motorhome door and began ranting in an extremely rude tone about how we had been parked for 4 hours taking up 2 end spaces. I looked around and explained that there are many empty spaces and that we had been consumers at 4 businesses and about to shop at the grocery store. He continued being incredibly rude about how we were blocking two spaces and had been there too long and insisted in we needed to leave.
