I recently had Brian and Upgrade Marine install a new Lithium Ion based "House" battery system and Inverter on my boat. I also supplemented this with two flexible/removable 170w solar panels that will allow me to charge the system when at anchor. My AC demand can now be met through shore power, battery bank, solar, or my genset. It's too soon to judge how long I can go without running the genset, but it may be a couple of days or more.
