I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent encounter my husband and I had at your store.
We visited your store to purchase a stroller. We received assistance from one of your employees, and it was already placed at the cashier for payment. While we were managing our son and approaching the cashier, we were unexpectedly approached by another store worker who insisted we leave within two minutes, citing the store's closing time was 6PM.
It was disheartening to feel rushed and pressured, especially considering we were in the process of making a legitimate purchase. The comment that "here in California, we let our employees leave on time" left us feeling unwelcome and we left without purchasing the stroller.
As customers, we understand the importance of respecting closing hours, but it seemed unreasonable to be chased out while actively trying to complete a purchase that was initiated. We believe that a more considerate approach could have been taken, given the circumstance of finalizing a significant transaction.
The store is cute and carries many items so I see why people would end up there to buy baby items in SF, however there are places that sell the same things and employees actually speak to customers respectfully.
We value our shopping experiences and hope that this feedback can contribute to a more customer-friendly environment in the future.
Note: We bought the same stroller at Bloomingdales the following day...
Read moreRight when COVID took place I contacted a few small businesses on Valencia and placed orders. I got a few baby gifts from here for a friend of mine, placed the order online.
I got a call back pretty quickly after I placed the order saying that one of the items, a stuffed pineapple, was out of stock. The woman sent me some photos of other options, none of which I liked. I asked if she was getting more of the stuffies coming in and she said she was supposed to get them within a few days.
Two weeks passed by, I called the store more than once and was told the manager would call me back, which she never did. Eventually I was told by someone three weeks in that âsupply chains had been impactedâ but they seemed unwilling to give me a refund or any other consolation until I asked for it.
Then I had to email the place asking for a refund since asking people on the phone for a refund wasnât working. I exchanged a few emails, they said they would refund me but then never did. Theyâve stopped replying to my emails altogether.
While they did send one of the items, the other (more expensive) item was never delivered or refunded. Iâve spent over an hour either emailing, on the phone with them or my cc company, trying to deal with this. Itâs super annoying and unprofessional, actually illegal to charge someone for goods and services that were never provided.
Itâs too bad, I really liked going into the physical store but will not be going...
Read moreDo not shop here unless you want to test your patience and memory. I had to constantly follow up with my order. After receiving majority of my order, there was one item that still has not shipped after about 2 months of placing the order. After constant follow up, they blamed it on the vendor and tariffs but yet they still have the item on their website for purchase. They then issued me a refund without my consent and informed me with a vague email indicating a refund has been issued to my original tender without any further financial information besides the amount. I had to call again to clarify what is the original tender and requested they follow up with an email indicating it was to my credit card. After another follow up, they informed me the refund had been issued to my credit card and I should call my bank regarding it since they already initiated it. After wasting my time calling the bank, they then informed me they could not issue the refund to my credit card. I finally got my refund after countless number or emails and phone calls. If it wasnât for my constant follow up, I donât know if I would have ever received the item or refund. As much as I would like to support a small business, I can not support a small business with this kind of...
