Update: they called after seeing my negative review. Turned out I did âtriple layer facialâ and not âchemical peelâ.(yeah it was that unclear to me during the consultation I didnât even know what I did). They wanted to make it up for me and offered a complementary hydrodermabrasion. If I end up going I will update my review here :)
Tldr-if you know and stick to what exactly you are looking for, maybe this is for you. I was upsold multiple times and was uncomfortable with the aggressiveness. Actual experience felt mediocre and overpriced.
I am 27 years old, and have good skin(mostly need hydro and exfoliation to remove dead skin and blackheads. A few acnes before period). I was looking for a bit of treat, and I saw facelift online with promo(BOGO for new clients) and decided to try it.
When I got there, the consultation seems unprofessional. Idan just sat from the distance, and asked me what I was looking for. One question. I said I want my face to be clean and moisturized. And he recommended me CHEMICAL PEEL! He was focusing on other things I was looking for the most(hydro and exfoliation)when selling it. And I trusted him, so I followed his advice. During the session, he asked me what I used for face wash, and I said Aesop, and he said ânever heard of itâ.đ
Upon checkout, I found out it was $249, quite expensive for a mediocre experience(my face hurt a bit during the peel too). Initially I was looking for facelift with BOGO. This doubled the original price but I did agree to it without asking the price(I should!!). After I left, I looked up the menu again, and I really canât tell the difference between signature facial + peel add on, hydro + peel add on and chemical peel. There are so many combos that could meet my need, and he picked the most expensive one!! The description of chemical peel is âperfect for bridesâ - really NOT my case, and I do fear I only did peel and no heal, and if thatâs going to hurt my skin.
After I was done, he kept selling me other products which made me extremely uncomfortable. It felt very aggressive. He spoke fast and started trying a product on my hand before I realized, and tried to prove that they work. Since he tried it with my left hand, and my left hand typically just looks better(not sure if there was some mental trick), I wasnât convinced but also didnât want to continue the conversation.
No water, no tea, just keep selling!
Another thing I noticed is that he has such great online MARKETING, sooo many good reviews on google map and yelp(and actually bad review on classpass tho), and that just totally didnât match my experience. I feel compelled to post my REAL experience here. I would give 2 stars for this experience, but adjusted to 1 given probably...
Read moreIt's my 1st time to get a facial of any kind since Covid & 1st non-surgical facelift. I had a Groupon so it was a good deal. I had alot of face skin issues (acne, forehead & lip wrinkle, crowsfeet, uneven skin, age spots, acne scars, rash). Sarah was great at doing all the different treatments for the non-surgical face lift & did explain to me that it didn't really target acne nor rash but will have 2 levels/layers of cleaning which will help a bit. Also, she suggested other packaged treatments (6 treatments) for best results. She did try to target most of my other concerned areas (crows feet, forehead wrinkles & overall a bit younger/clearer looking skin but not so much on my 1 wrinkle on my upper lip though). Also, the electric current machine was going in & out sometimes so at times it wasn't working. I didn't need much of the neck lifting so didn't really noticed much difference there. I did noticed that my skin looked a bit more even/clearer, the wrinkles on my forehead & crowsfeet were reduced & my cheeks looked a bit more plum/lifted. She spent most of the 75mins doing my treatments & went out 2-3X but all within 1-3 mins long (acceptable). My treatment also included face/shoulder/arms/hands massage. I wish the bed had a soft topper because I was feeling pressure on my elbows & the back of my heels. My right pinky & the back of my heel was getting kind of sore & numb from the pressure closer to the last 15mins. I would most likely buy another Groupon in the future since this treatment is quite expensive without the Groupon. Parking nearby there can be difficult or expensive. 1hr free parking or $2-3/per hr meters on Mission st but $4-5/hr meters on 21st st which is more expensive than the garage on 21st...
