amazeballs. my peoples have been going to “The Greeks” up on 30th for donkey’s ages… i think even since the time of my Nonno… ( don’t quote me, but since at least the 60s? if not earlier? haven’t verified their dates…) but… we’ve been thru all the ups n downs of each other’s parallel existences & all i can say is, they are the best. after a rough time of it ( for them ( in this instance…🤣) ) recently, made worse by the plague times, they have new management ( ownership?) I love all the small changes ( improved!!! they take EBT now, & have daily deals on fruit n veg, plus some fun new items I buy regularly. Special shout out to the young gentleman who offered to half a watermelon for me a few days ago. I regretted not purchasing the full melon... there was an existing qtr precut that was incredibly SWEET and crisp. DELIC! In late June, it was still vacant, but the Noe Valley Voice in April of 2020 published a story: Good News: Church Produce, which abruptly closed near the end of last year, has been taken over by brother and sister Yianni Kintas and Fotina Kintas. The vegetablery was started in 1979 by the siblings’ father, George Kintas, and his partner, John Hilas.
