This is a review of the San Fran store, not the brand in general. I LOVE Everlane and have purchased several items. I was excited to be in San Fran and able to visit the store...but I was sorely disappointed. The inventory was hugely lacking! Either sold out or just not in stock on so many items. I was hoping to try some of the silk blouses as I've had issues with sizing on Everlane tops but there wasn't a single in stock. I did end up buying a few things thinking I could ship them home - nope! If I wanted to ship my purchases, I'd have to find a post office. The shoes (thing I most hoped to ship) were in a color only available in the store. Funny that a brand which focuses on web-sales won't ship from store. Had I known that the inventory was so limited, I'd never have battled traffic for the trip into the store. Perhaps some better explanation of what's stocked on the web site description...
Read moreThis review is for the store staff more so than the clothing... they had a set of sweaters mismarked at a different price, and after I spent time waiting in line to try one on and then purchase it, they wouldn't honor the price printed on the tag. The employee said they knew about the mistake and hadn't gotten around to re-tagging yet. They were surprisingly rude when I said I wasn't going to purchase at the higher price they rung up. Normally when a store makes a mistake and inconveniences a customer, they try to make it right. Absolutely not the case here. This is a poor reflection on a brand that prides themselves on quality and transparency. As a regular Everlane customer, it makes me think twice about continuing...
Read moreIf I could give Everlane a zero, I would. My husband wanted their trainers so I ordered them for Christmas along with a birthday gift for my sister. They use the cheapest shipper so the package could not be tracked and after a month of waiting, deemed to be lost. What I originally ordered was out of stock so I had to wait to get refunded and place another order for the court shoes. When they arrived 2 weeks later, they sent 2 different sizes. Customer service said, ooops, sorry, we don’t have those anymore. You can ship those back now. They didn’t care one iota and didn’t take responsibility for ALL their mistakes.
