A great resource for the Tenderloin! A good selection of fiction/non-fiction books for at most 5 dollars. All of their YA/MG/children's books are only 2 dollars! Most of their books are in very good to like new condition, though some of the smaller books have definitely seen better days. They also have a wonderful selection of cook books. Found a great baking cookbook in incredible condition and I can't wait to try a few of its recipes. They do have odd hours though, so if you plan on visiting/going to the library anyway, check their schedule before heading over. They also close early, so get there at least a half hour...

Honestly, this is a wonderful little bookstore, and a great resource to serve the Tenderloin community, but the manager who works here is kind of creepy, and I'd honestly prefer not to browse if some dude is going to hover and ask me weirdly personal questions. (Even the homeless people don't force this level of interaction.) Damn. I really do want to keep my business local. But I think it's better to shop on Amazon in this situation. (Sorry, SFPL. Awesome library. Great resources. Extremely knowledgeable staff. Computer labs, Readings y lectures. Security is very proactive y visible. Very clean. Quiet rooms (meeting rooms)....
