Civic Center Union Plaza has changed and is different and brighter and lots more inviting and friendly and efficient which is very important especially to those residents of the areas thereof whom God Bless Them, might find difficulties or challenges rather I'd say getting in and around the common areas and walkways. In any case, your a true ouvercomer and champ in my opinion if you are a resident of this most prestigious Plaza's masterpieces of buildings that make up their share of San Francisco's Skyline in this most particular n historic, eccentric and awesome neighborhood. The Plaza itself has unveiled a brand new state of the art Skateboarding Park that offers much selection of adventure to those who possess a skateboard in safe and fun beautifying brick n concrete artworks backslash ramps that elegantly blend in and accentuate The Landmarks forming this Plaza. Visible, constant vigilance of The Plaza AND tables and benches that are to be used responsibly up to closing time is performed by abounding Security. Play structures for enjoyment and fitness permanent machines"" reminiscent of Soloflex is what I'm reminded of, are also a very meaningful facet of this improvement that has only brought the value of how important the people truly are and were considered and kept in mind by the Authors of this bright outstanding feature which was garnished with Kaleidoscopical Butterfliqical Teacups is what they resemble from afar and on approach, you realize that the area is very well lit now and safe being that the color scheme on thee above mentioned adornments which are pretty sizeable. Like kiosks I'd say. Are supplied with every bright color you can think of. Truly. A San Francisco...

The city is trying to clean up this area of Market Street with mixed results. On the plus side, there is a nice workout area with some gym equipment, chess tables, ping pong tables,Cornhole and other games with the equipment needed available all day until 10pm.Theres a lovely art installation of "trees" that have multi colored lights-very cool. There is an area for skateboarding. The fountain, which had been blocked off from the public for a few years, has been updated with some plants and trees but is still fenced off. Easy listening music is piped in from a mystery source. And it's nice that there are tables that you can have lunch at or just hang out.On the minus side, which is actually improving, there is a steady stream of derelicts hanging out and so the police are usually there too.Doesnt exactly scream "inviting".The security staff is unobtrusive but observant and very nice too.Im sure I've missed something so will return with more info. Its a nice place to hang out for a bit if you are downtown. Also the farmers market and flea market have moved to the parking lot between the library and the Asian Art Museum, not sure if permanent or...

Everyday through the week there is a different experience offered I enjoyed that fact. I must warn that these experiences are far different from what was offered a decade ago when I first started going to take them in but as long as you brace yourself for the fact that nothing about San Francisco is the same as it ever was and are always looking toward enjoying a new and different experience this will be one for you to enjoy! Let me add a few times a week there are different kinds of markets I have always really enjoyed and that fact has not changed weather it be a locals selling arts and crafts with other unique things or a Farmers market from all over the world go gone it a try and dont let them pull out everything that is and always has been great about San Francisco because it seems like they are trying to without enough energy fighting to keep it alive! 🔮🌁💗🎁It is worth your time and...

Two stars because of the grimes, sketchy and often disgusting plaza where most people come to catch BART, MUNI or SamTrans bus routes. Wednesday and Sunday from 7am to 3pm is the Civic Center Farmers Market (EBT friendly) and the selection of fruits and vegetables, flowers & foods are pleasantly Overwhelming. For that - 5 stars. No parking and often very difficult to find. Do not plan on driving unless your sugar daddy plans on parking illegally and getting his car towed.

Great improvement! Bart has a security on duty at the gate, which means safe!! Also station, trains are very clean. Pretty much all the trains stop here, that makes commuting easy.

I was just here last week. It was really convenient using the BART. There's a small skatepark which was cool. There's also a public restroom.
