Gentle Nails Salon — Local services in San Francisco

This was my second time to Gentle Nails. I should have learned my lesson the first time. Went in for a fill. Walked out with overpriced, awful nails. I asked for a rounded shape, two separate people could not file them evenly. The paint is clumpy, the acrylic is rough around the edges, and every nail looks different from the others. I honestly grew tired of asking them to fix it. I asked for a simple triangle design at the base of 2 nails, he couldn't make the lines straight, so I told him to forget it. Left the shop, discussed it with my friend I went in with, and decided to go back and talk to them. I went in maybe 15 minutes after I left, asked to speak to someone privately, only to be yelled at and told that this is what I wanted. No one wants this. The lady got in my face, too close for comfort. I was charged for a cut down, even though I didn't ask for that. Oh and if I did ask for my nails to be trimmed down to the tips of my fingers, its considered an add on and that pricing is listed on the back wall- so you can't see it from the front of the shop. Beware of high prices and low quality. Oh and liars that yell at...

Worst place ever! The staff is rude and their prices are ridiculous! Be aware of extremely high prices!! I went to this salon 3 week ago to the get some simple french acrylic short nails, they didn't tell me price but I thought it wouldn't be more than $50 witch is a kind of regular price but I was so wrong, they charged me $90!!!. The nails were ok but nothing extraordinary for that price. I decided to give them a second change and went again to get acrylics but this time I wanted ombre short nails and after waiting 40 minutes, even tho I call and they gave me an appointment at 3pm the told me they would charge me over $100!!! That's insane and not worth it at all!. I'm never going back and definitely won't...

It's difficult for me to give an accurate review that one would assume summarizes my experience with the nail technician, her skills, and my evaluation. Unfortunately, like many other recent experiences I've been going through, it seems as if there's an anonymous 3rd party contributing their basis and effecting my opinion. I tried going in without prior knowledge of the salon, but I could tell the technician had likely been doing her job for years and for the most part had an excellent set of skills. I think the salon was polished and provided a calming environment that was in alignment...
