Update: WHAT HAPPENED, CASEMENTS?? As you see below, this was one of my favorite cocktail bars, and the last several times we’ve been in, it’s been very sub-par. Slow and rude service. Cocktails are mediocre… even the ones we used to love! The worst part is the back patio smells like a men’s room now. It’s genuinely gross sitting back there. We stop in for at least a couple drinks every time we’re in Mission but that’s not going to happen anymore. We’ll still stop by to see if things have changed back… but damn it y’all! What happened??

This might just be my favorite cocktail bar in the Bay Area. The aesthetic is incredible! The brick walls, the wild wallpaper opposite the bar, and the amazing outdoor seating area are very thoughtfully designed and very well executed.

The important stuff:

The cocktails here are incredibly well made. The attention to detail shines through in the flavors and aromas that hit your palate.

The Irish whiskey selection is massive. Being a lover of excellent Irish whiskeys, I was immediately hooked and hopelessly in love the moment I saw the inventory.

Like the cocktails, the food is fantastic! The flavors just pop, and the ceviche is the best restaurant ceviche I’ve ever had. (Can’t compare to homemade, but it’s damn close!)

My only regret is that we don’t...

The drinks here are obviously good and the vibe is good too. However, the bartenders suck. They created an atmosphere of hostility for me and my friends.

I spent the night going to other bars where the bartenders were fun, nice, helpful, etc. But at Casements, the bartenders seemed annoyed to deal with patrons, and generally didn't seem like they wanted to be there working. The staff even interrupted my conversation to make snide comments. When we told the staff they were being rude, they asked us to go outside so they could talk to us...which seemed odd, but then they stuck us with some random busboy who had no idea what was going on (not the staff member who had an issue). Being squirrelly and weak is really pathetic!

It's a shame because we've been customers of Casements who supported them in the pandemic…but based on our recent experience I'm probably just going to go elsewhere where the people are nicer and more welcoming. It’s crazy that businesses treat customers so rudely who were the people who helped them in their time of need during the pandemic. Can I get my pandemic support money back?!

If you want a drink where the staff hovers over you with RBF and becomes an uncomfortable member of your party, go to Casements. But if you want a fun night with chill people and fun vibes,...

We decided to head over to Casements for a quick drink after chilling in Mission Dolores Park. While we were intrigued by what seemed like a cool ambiance and the allure of the back patio, we were nonplussed by the service as we walked in. While there was a couple drinking at the bar and a server running food out to the patio, neither the server nor the bartender greeted us as we stood waiting, even after the bartender looked up and saw us, and continued to chat with the couple at the bar. Having worked in food service, I understand when staff are busy, but it was off putting to not even be greeted and we were about to leave before we were finally greeted.

I got the Pea's for Bee's cocktail while my partner got the Belfast Coffee. The back patio was definitely the star of the show, which had a really cool vibe and would be a great place to drink a beer and hang out. The drinks were not bad but did not particularly stand out. That said, I would definitely come back here on a hot day to get a beer and hang out on...

Nice bar! I live in the area and I walked by this place so many times we finally stopped to have some drinks. I regret not coming here before. Their beer garden is nice and surrounded by very nice murals. I love that they have these sketch/journal books going, everyone who visits can add to them. Went on a Saturday afternoon. Very chill and nice out. As we were living a live band or dj was setting up. I want to come back at night as well to experience it. The sketchbooks recommend seating at the bar, the bartenders are cool. Next time I will be doing that. Drinks They are refreshing. We tried a few and my favorite was the one with passion fruit and chamomile. The old fashion is also a good one. They use different bitters (I assume ) than the usual ones I’ve had, but it’s good. I also like how their ice comes with little herbs/flowers. So cute. Staff Very nice and chill. The bartender is cool! Food We only had steak fries but they are yummy! They come with a side of Japanese curry!
