This review is long overdue - but they keep asking for reviews so here it goes. Avoid this property like the plague. The building itself is nice, and could be a great building but it's poorly managed.
I've lived here since November 2023, it was great at first. The office staff was responsive and pleasant. There was a change in the office staff months back, since then the concept of customer service has gone out the door.
Parking Garage: it has been broken for almost 2 months now. Since then, we've only ever received two updates as to its status. We're told they hired security to monitor the garage until it's fixed, that is hit or miss. Today was the second day in a row where no security is present. I've not only emailed them several times for updates, I've gone to the office in-person, there is absolutely no urgency to have it repaired and they try to gaslight you that there isn't anything wrong with it being broken.
If you make the mistake to move in, be ready to visit the office anytime you need something. They assume everyone works from home, they do not respond to emails (will act like they never saw them) and when you try and call, the minute you choose the option for current residents, you'll be directed to a virtual assistant and voice mail. They never respond to voice messages. When you bring this up to them, they're responses are "that's not my job" or "we're short handed", etc.
There is a constant stench of weed and smoking that will enter your apartment.
The dryers are a joke. The developer was too cheap to properly install exhausts so you're left with an 'evaporative' dryer. It will take you two cycles to dry your clothes, and then you'll need to time them correctly to pull them out mid-cycle. Otherwise they will come out damp because the moisture seeps back in.
Almost three weeks ago, I made it a point to go in and speak with the manager, after what I thought was a productive discussion I was told she would be providing me a warm intro to the regional manager, still nothing, even after I've followed up.
There is a level of incompetence with this staff that I have never experienced. Be aware, they recently launched a promo with Rentgrada so that potential residents could interact with current residents so that they can be convinced to move in. The current resident has a financial incentive to convince you to move in, it's not an unbiased opinion. Don't trust it.
Before you consider this building, look at the many other buildings within a few blocks.
To close this out, they'll send out emails constantly about things like Rentgrata, or Google Fiber being onsite, or asking for reviews. But will they respond to resident concerns?...
Read moreAvoid this place at all costs â itâs a total trap and a perfect example of how not to treat tenants.
I've been living here for 13 months and want to update my review based on ongoing issues:
Shameless Rent Hike: After a year of unresolved issues and poor service, they had the audacity to raise my monthly rent from $4,133.00 to $5,435.95 â over $1,300 more for the same broken experience. Check the screenshot below â they expect you to pay more for less. Absolutely disgraceful.
Skyrocketing Utility Charges: My utility charges have nearly doubled since last year with no clear explanation or improvement in service. It feels like yet another way to squeeze more money out of tenants.
Maintenance Delays: Everything here takes forever to fix, and management is unresponsive or dismissive. Here are few examples:
3.1. Garage Door: Broken for 6 months last summer. The building was left wide open â anyone could walk in. Check the uploaded video for proof.
3.2. Oven: Took 14 days to fix, even after I made it clear I rely on it daily.
3.3. Stratis App: Building access via app has never worked since move-in. Still broken.
Parking Remote: Took 5 months to get the remote I was promised. Until then, I had to get out of my car and enter a code every time. When I complained, they told me I could just remove parking from my lease.
Parcel Locker Chaos: I pay $20/month for this service, but several packages have gone missing over time. Only a few are delivered to Amazon Hub â the rest are scattered across three floors, forcing residents to go on a...
Read moreJust wanted to share a few things about this building in case people benefit from several unpleasant surprises which I had to go through during my move-out process. I've rented at many different places and have not experienced this level of frustration so far.
-- make sure you ask multiple times (or ask in advance of lease signing) to see if a month-to-month renewal option after the typical 12-mo+ lease. For whatever reason, they said they simply do not offer one, but it turns out that they actually do offer this option. I found out on my move-out day and was unpleasant/frustrated. It's going to be at a higher rate (which is expected given flexibility), but any tenants would greatly appreciate this piece of information and this management simply did not bother to share info for whatever reason.
-- This management will tell you to just hand over the keys on move-out day and say no other procedures even when asked if there are any other steps. Make sure to have them come in and agree on charges to avoid large bills down the road when you already moved out.
For example, the kitchen area is all white. If you cook, just be mindful they will charge you for countertop damage for stains that do not come out of these white countertops / boards. Regular cleaning fees also seems to go into this "damage cost" and it's very hard to get an answer from them. I would simply never rent any units with white countertops in my life.
I did not hang anything on the wall, but if any "partial" paint just peels off, you will be charged...
