Terrible Customer Service Experience at Neiman Marcus (Boucheron)
I recently had the misfortune of dealing with Neiman Marcus's customer service, and I must say it was a truly appalling experience. My fiancé and I decided to purchase our wedding bands from Boucheron inside Neiman Marcus, hoping for a premium shopping experience. However, the way they handled our order mistake left us utterly disappointed and frustrated.
Firstly, the mistake itself was inexcusable. Neiman Marcus ordered the wrong wedding band for us, which is already a significant error considering the importance of this purchase. But what truly baffled us was the complete lack of responsibility and accountability demonstrated by their customer service team.
Upon receiving the incorrect wedding band, we contacted Neiman Marcus to report the mistake. Instead of receiving a sincere apology for their error, we were met with indifference and excuses. It's astonishing how they could fail to take ownership of their mistake and instead tried to shift the blame onto external factors.
What's even more infuriating is that Neiman Marcus made no effort to rectify the situation or offer any form of compensation for the inconvenience and disappointment they caused. We were left to deal with the mess they created on our own, which is unacceptable for a company that prides itself on luxury and quality service. With only two weeks until our wedding, we had no choice but to process a refund and urgently search for new wedding bands.
In addition to the incompetence and lack of accountability, the overall attitude of their customer service representatives was dismissive and unhelpful. It's as if they couldn't care less about retaining loyal customers or ensuring a positive shopping experience.
In conclusion, my experience with Neiman Marcus's customer service was nothing short of a nightmare, especially when dealing this on top of wedding planning. Ordering the wrong wedding band was bad enough, but the complete absence of an apology or any form of compensation is inexcusable. Neiman Marcus has lost a once-loyal customer, and I will be sure to share my dreadful experience with others to save them from the same disappointment. This level of disregard for customers is unforgivable, and I strongly advise against doing business with Neiman Marcus if you value quality service and accountability.
FYI - Boucheron rings are custom-made in France. Expect a lead time of at least two months...
Read moreI have tried shopping at NM a few times since Union Square is just a few blocks from my work. However, I have had major issues every time I’ve come in.
The first time I came in, it took forever to get the attention of the sales person so I could purchase a Jo Malone candle. When I finally got the attention of the sales clerk, she immediately began pushing me to purchase one of the new fragrances. The perfume smelled nice and I asked if I could have a sample so I could wear it and see if it wore well on me. The sales clerk immediately snapped that Jo Malone never gives samples and if I want to try the perfume I just needed to buy it. Um, no way! Some perfumes smell super good at first but after mixing with my personal oils, they start to smell like acetone. Everyone knows you have to try a perfume before you buy it. And the Jo Malone counter at Nordstrom always gave me tons of samples when I have bought perfumes from them (hence why I have four perfumes from this brand - the samples gave me the chance to fall in love with a new one). Needless to say, I knew the sales clerk was just being a jerk because she knew I wasn’t going to give her an extra sale. I told her I changed my mind about the candle and walked away.
My last and final visit, I came and was looking at the Uma facial oils. I asked the sales clerk to recommend a soothing one for dry skin. I clarified THREE times whether or not it was good for dry skin and the clerk kept assuring me it was what I was looking for. I got home, put it on my face, and I broke out the next day. I looked at reviews of the product and it was a clarifying oil for oily, acne prone skin, not dry skin! I went and tried to return the product two days later and the sales clerk treated me like a thief and refused to accept the return even though I had the receipt. They said they couldn’t prove it was the original product since I had opened the package. BS!
The sales clerks are completely snobby and I will never shop at NM again. Luckily, Barney’s is just around the corner and they always provide me with stellar service. And doubly lucky, RTR moved to their own location so I never even have to step foot in this...
Read moreMy experience here was the worst of the worst. Came here to buy specific shoes for my Husband, on the very bottom Level there was Nora, I explained I would like to purchase the newest Versace trainers in a specific color combo size 11. She looked confused tying to help me but at the same time shes displaying insolent gestures (faces at other co-workers while showing me items I have no interest in) and impertinent service, you can tell she doesn’t want to help and it clearly shows, then she completely disappears.
As I’m waiting for 30-45 minutes, and all other employees getting paid to be on they’re phones, Manager named Larry approached me to ask if I had been helped. (He passed by 3 or 4 times and noticing I had been sitting there for so long) I explained that Nora is retrieving me the new Versace Trainers, I asked for in a size 11. Turned out she just left me there and went to lunch, as he tried to reach her via phone, He said she’ll be back shortly and left to a desk near men’s accessories. I didn’t know what to say, I felt omitted from Nieman Marcus of SF.
I decided to try Larry again so I can just buy the shoes and leave, I was not comfortable here. I approached the accessory area to ask Larry if he can help me with the Versace Shoes, but he was so caught up in his conversation laughing and definitely flirting with a pretty young red head girl, AND that was my Q, I’m leaving!! I decided not to bother anyone else and leave this unprincipled, unscrupulous department store. Like the unprofessionalism was hyper real here! 10x worse than Macy’s service across the street next to the LV and we’re spending thousands here!!! I’ll never...
