On November 1st, i had an appointment with this spa. They never reconfirmed my appointment details, they never sent me a confirmation letter, and even upon arrival they did not reconfirm details, have me sign in or fill out any paper work. I called before booking to ensure I booked the right treatment. I called to ask for the massage where they walk on your back. And ask to have it performed on a table with massage oils. I booked a couples massage based on what the person on the phone recommended. Upon arrival they proceeded to provide me the wrong treatment and injure me by providing me a deep tissue aromatherapy massage. As this was a couples massage experience, I waited to see if they would take turns walking on our backs. I was afraid to mention to the massage therapist that he was injuring me. I was afraid to ask if they would at some point walk on my back. The massage therapist did not introduce himself to me upon his entry into the room, and instead began to touch my body with extreme pressure. I was too intimidated and afraid to speak up. Once the massage was over, i was emotional and unable to walk on my own. My partner enjoyed his massage, which was the correct massage, but had to walk me out of the treatment room to the front desk as i was unable to move. I advised the front desk team , and the massage therapists Tony and Aple , and they placed all blame on me and only provided a discount. My boyfriend had to proceed to walk me out of the spa , as I was unable to move and was crying from the pain and unfairness. We paid nearly 300 dollars and had no managerial follow up. After a few months of no recovery, i reached out to the spa for medical bill assistance and the managerial team again blamed me for them not being made aware of the situation and began to ignore me and not call back. I asked multiple times for an email confirmation of my appointment and receipt, as they did not provide one nor offer one at time of check out. They proceeded to tell me they do not keep records of cash transactions and would be unable to provide me a receipt. Though they were able to advise me I did in fact have an appointment on November 1st at 10 a.m. in 2021. The employees are no competent in their work, communication, or skill. and the accounting seems like they are practicing illegal book keeping practices. However there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I would like to point out that my boyfriend enjoyed his experience with Aple. I would like to point out that I did not enjoy my experience and I'm still injured and it is...
Read moreMassage was decent, the masseuse did a nice job opening up movement in my hips in a way I hadn't prior experienced.
The atmosphere was...off. I didn't really expect to hear so much road noise, cell phone conversations of people walking by outside, while receiving a $120 massage. Any sort of sound proofing, or even a token attempt at atmosphere would have really improved the experience.
I guess I could deal with that all, I mean I was only there because I was in so much pain and having a lot of difficulty walking. I really wanted to set my body on the right course to recovery, get in an UBER and go home and lay down.
Unfortunately, the front desk failed to inform me until AFTER the massage, the credit card system wasn't working. That it was cash only,
I had to cross the busy street out front, find my way into the hotel, ask the front desk there where the ATM was, and pay a total of $9 in ATM fees on top. I had to do this TWICE because the front desk massage person didn't properly inform me of how much I had to pay. They also tried to hold my debit card as collateral (as they forced me to go find an ATM, I didn't want to leave without paying) and I had to explain to them that I needed my card to use the ATM.
Keep in mind I was having a lot of difficulty walking and that's why I went in for the massage in the first place. It was basically entirely undone by the stress of the payment debacle and having to drag my aching foot across the street and into the hotel twice.
There was no apology or consideration for this and I made sure to tell the next people waiting that they would have to have cash ready. They looked as surprised as I was, and thanked me.
Ultimately, any benefits from the massage were completely undone by the complete lack of consideration from the front desk, particularly when it came to payment. I can understand a point-of-sale device malfunctioning, I worked in hospitality for nearly 20 years. But, if you know about this all day, and fail to inform people until after services have been rendered, you are setting everyone up for a bad time.
I could barely afford this anyway, and the $9 ATM fee on top was just insult to injury. I should have asked them to reimburse me.
There's no way I'd ever go here again, and if I heard a friend had an appointment I'd tell...

This review is for the Ultimate Spa experience package, consisting of two hour massage and infrared sauna - this turned out to be the Ultimate Spa Nightmare.
All in all spent $350 only to walk out feeling like shit…! I specifically chose this place because it seemed high-end. So I hoped to walk out of the spa feeling wonderful and certainly better than when I walked in…
I started the two hour massage with neck, shoulder, and lower back tension. After two hours, I felt just as tense, cranky... not that blissed out melty post-massage feeling I doubly expected for a TWO HOUR session!
My muscles body stayed alert throughout the session, I stayed on edge as much as I wanted to "let go" into relaxation, but the masseuse's strokes were not rhythmic and flowing. It felt like being pressed awkwardly here and there by cold limp hands.
I asked for "deep tissue", which she responded by kneading painfully and repeatedly into one same spot with her thumbs. The masseuse did not speak much English, so my preferences probably were not well understood. She WAS sweet though and did her best, a younger Asian female masseuse.
I get that not every masseuse-client will be a good fit. Needless to say, I wish I had seen another therapist, then maybe it could have been the spa experience I expected from a highly rated place such as this.
I had infrared sauna at the end, and felt rushed because the place was closing down and staff were ready to leave.
Perhaps their standards have plummeted due to these tough times. It’s clear they do not care or know how to deliver a professional...
