Kevin, Your performance was fantastic, a one of a kind. I love that you can do what you love for a living, what a gift, and congratulations on your 2 year old child! Children can be a handful but they're worth every minute, (our children are 41 and 39 and married with children)! My experience was hampered by having a drink and ice spilled on me from the row behind me with no apology. I went ot the Matre'd to ask for a clean up in the cheap seats and the female assistant came and cleaned up the spill. Evidently the group behind me would have just left the ice to melt. She asked me if she could dry my back. I told her I was fine but I'd like to move my seat since in addition to having a drink spilled on me, my seat was getting kicked from behind and the show hadn't even started. I thought if no one was going to be sitting in the adjacent booth I cold kill two birds with one, (I had asked for a seat cushion but was told they're not available by the male Seating Assistant). She said she was almost 100% sure and she would send Patrick over to help. He came with another gentleman who observed our conversation. He asked me if I wanted to sit in the adjacent booth, I said yes and he said it would be $125. I told him the story and he took me to another seat near the Matre'd's podium, at no charge. The booth was never occupied the entire show and the Matre'd never came over to me to offer me the vacant booth after the show started. I still can't believe I had to tell Patrick I shouldn't be charged if I move. When I got to the Theater the Matre'd had told me I could move my seat from the back if I wanted if there was an open seat. Other than that you were great and I couldn't believe the dice game worked to perfection, as did everything else!!! Kudos as my...
Read morePros: beautiful venue charming magician great show overall if you like magic in general cool magic drinks (alcohol)
Cons: out of the 3 “known” magic shows in SF, this one has a more commercial “big show” presentation with the stage and venue set-up. It’s much bigger than the other 2 shows but the other shows are more intimate in a smaller space that’s pretty nice because you can actually see the magician even in the back row. (Other shows are with Jay Alexander and the other is Magic Patio). My friends and I have been to all 3 and the illusionist was our least favorite (still a good show but recommend Jay Alexander or Magic Patio). the refund policy here is strict. I got pretty sick the last 2 days leading up to the show but they wouldn’t give a refund, only gift certificate or to “gift my ticket to someone else”. I was visiting so a gift certificate wouldn’t help so I was out of luck. It seemed they rather have a sick person attend the show and get other guests sick (and I’m sure they’d take no liability for this). Attended half the show (masked up) because thought I felt better to sit through a show but ended up leaving early. We had a similar issue on a different trip to see Jay Alexander and had no issues getting a refund, they were very understanding. Don’t appreciate money grabbing...
Read moreI initially saw an advertisement for the show on Instagram. I was intrigued by an illusionist doing a show in a Speakeasy. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary so I booked tickets. The venue is intimate. There's probably not a bad seat in the house and the use of video to broadcast the "illusions" on a large screen on stage is effective so everything can be seen. This show was incredible. I have no idea how he was able to accomplish the things he did, but I felt like a kid again, full of wonder. The showmanship was fantastic. The delivery was awesome. I would recommend this show to anyone looking for a fun night out. It was an absolute blast. On a side note, the downstairs bar could have used a second bartender. The intermission was 15 minutes. Although the bartender was very personable and did a good job mixing and serving drinks, he could have really used a second as the line was pretty long during intermission. Believe me, you do not want to miss any part of the show so leaving prior to intermission to be first at the bar is not a great option. This event is definitely 5 stars....
