I purchased a Groupon and went in for a mani and pedi in the fall of 2018.
I waited for a while for my services to be completed. This is the first salon that I have visited that does not have nail tech stations but utilizes wingback chairs, pillows, and basins for services.
All of the prepaid services were not completed because the wax wasn’t available (not fully melted) and I was informed that at my next appointment, I could have the paraffin service done. Having the paraffin treatment completed later wasn’t a huge problem because I needed to leave and had already sat for a while for the services to be completed which took two different people to do. While the technicians were kind, the problems with both the manicure and pedicure didn’t show up until days later.
My pedicure didn’t last. At. All. The nail polish chipped horribly and turned colors. Yes, old polish will not look the same after it has been diluted with either acetone or another agent to ‘stretch’ the product. The polish will more than likely flake and chip amongst other things. The clear coat on my nails turned grey as opposed to clear and the white polish peeled off on its own.
After the manicure service, I developed a fungal infection on my hands and resorted to treating it with prescription medication for it to heal completely. Before the service, I didn’t have any type of fungal infection on either of my hands. I have not returned for any service and have no plans to do so. I don’t know if anyone else has experienced any of these issues but I strongly suggest that the business practice proper sterilization techniques and invest in better equipment to perform any services.
In good faith, I cannot recommend...
Read moreI had the WORST nail experience of my life coming to Tint Nail Spa. I came about 10 minutes early for my appointment, and they told me to pick a nail polish color. I spent a couple of minutes looking at the different colors and then they told me to hurry up, even though I still had about 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment.
Then they did my mani/pedi. Nothing spectacular and they did not give me a foot massage, even though that was advetised with the service.
But the worst part was the nail art I asked them to do. I found a picture from THEIR website of a design they had done on a previous client that I liked and asked them to do. They kept messing up and each time I told them what was wrong the person doing my nails got more and more mad and proceeded to tell me it was my fault because my nails were too small and I did not let them dry long enough. I was in there for over two hours. I posted a picture of the final result...no where NEAR what the picture was that they have on their website.
They then tried to bully me into giving them a bigger tip when what I gave them was "too small". I left there frustrated and late for work.
Do NOT go here. I have no idea why they have such good reviews on Yelp. They were rude to me from the second...
Read moreIf you want to know why they have so many 5 star ratings on yelp, they bribe you at the register for it, the even have a sign mentioning it.
Gf changed her polish type during a manicure and they charged her 80$ for a single color gel mani on a neutral unpolished nail, and this was after I mentioned she was charging 130$ for a 40$ manicure, and I asked her to price it out. After I said that seemed out of line for their prices, and she then added another 2$, I guess for questioning her?
What is wrong with them?
And then afterwards when we were paying she used really abusive sale tactics against my gf and demanded a 20$ tip on top of it telling her directly in a raised voice put 20$ here on the receipt, slamming her finger into it, and nearly bringing her to tears. She even demanded she take my agency to make my choice on the tip and said she had to pay my tip as well. When I asked her why she demanded a tip above the 15% she had been demanding from my poor friend and blocking us until we added it to the receipt, she blamed my actions for upcharging her.
Really really from the bottom of my heart the worst experience I've had at a salon in my...
