Walgreens — Local services in San Francisco

This pharmacy is the worst. They take days to fill prescriptions and you have no idea when it'll be done. They don't answer the phone (or if they do you have to wait two hours) so you go to the pharmacy, wait in a 30 minute line, only to be told it's not ready yet and to come back later. Later you'll have to wait in a 45 min line, even though they claim to have express pickup online. They don't have extra staff to help at checkout even if there's a line down the whole aisle.

You'll do this every month if you have regular prescriptions. It's never not like this. And don't get me started on going in for vaccines. Expect to be there waiting for awhile with an appointment.

And I'm not sure what others are talking about, the staff is not friendly. I get it, though, they're overworked and everyone who comes in yells at them. This is a corporate issue and it's pathetic. People shouldn't have to regularly go through this for medicine they need.

Had the worst experience with there pharmacy people my medicine was transferred from Clement st. I was yelled at twice by pharmacy management they never seemed to have any of mystuff it was always late had my medicine at 5 different stores and I’m disabled. They stopped answering the phone so you couldn’t find out what was going on with your medicine. Then I would get a text it’s ready and drive there only to find out it wasn’t ready and they would say they never texted and would have to wait, one lady was looking and looking for 30 minutes no lie she couldn’t find it at All some how they added it to the delivery bag came home few hours later my door bell rang there’s my medicine so I called asked if they New what happened to my stuff they said I had gone in the morning and picked it up. Lied right to me, asked to speak with the manager and told him what happened and how I was just lied to he said well you have your medicine what is the problem ? Are you kidding me. You can’t trust...

Aside from the fact that it's one of the worst Walgreen's you'll find (dirty/grim), I was just denied a vaccine when I didn't want to use my insurance. It made me believe that they were systematically denying uninsured patients. I upgraded my review after the district manager called to apologize and satisfactorily addressed my concerns that this was an error by their employee who should have given the vaccine. I appreciated his approach and am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Nevertheless, I had a tough experience which seemed counter-productive to the goal of getting people a vaccine. Re downgrading after waiting for over an hour for a simple prescription. Asked to come back earlier today. Had to wait in line over 30 minutes both times and then told the second time to wait again over 30 minutes. This is just a grim place. CVS is better...
