Proposition Chicken — Restaurant in San Francisco

It was kind of horrible...

I got there and it wasn't ready, it took me 20 minutes to walk there and it said food will be ready in 15-25 minutes for pick up. I sat there and waited over 20 minutes, in my mind I was thinking the food would at least be fresh and hot. It was packed very sloppy, and the food was cold right when I got it. The fries were completely awful, cold, and soggy. The biscuit was hard and cold, and the chicken would have been good if it was hot. I am giving two stars instead of one because I did like the flavor and spices in the fried chicken. I was very confused on why there was bits of lettuce all over the place when I ordered the fried chicken meal that comes with chicken, and biscuit, and fries (usually coleslaw but I paid $1 extra for fries) there was no reason for lettuce all over everything. I have always wanted to try this place, it sounded really good, but it was honestly very unsatisfactory. I am very disappointed. Also the music there was very loud and awful, the whole experience was awful. I also wanted a drink, but on Grubhub there was no drink options at all, but there was drink options when I went there, which is very misleading.

I had their fried chicken entree with potato wedges and lemonade. The meal comes with a biscuit and home salad.

Their lemonade was great. It was not overly sweet. It had the right balance of tart and sweet to it. The biscuit was nice and flaky and buttery. Their home salad was cool and refreshing.

Their potato wedges were crispy on the outside soft on the inside. It had just the right balance of seasoning to it. I also like that it was not overly deep fried. I liked the seasoning flavor of the fries.

The fries chicken is one of the best I ever had. The crispy crunchy texture is well seasoned and had just a little kick to it. The meat inside was very juicy. The meat was also well seasoned. It also helped that it seemed like it just came out of the cooker when it arrived at my table. This place does chicken well. I wish they would have a four piece chicken entree for us hungry people.

The atmosphere was vibrant and active inside. There was a very diverse group of people and ethnicities there. They had older and younger people which makes it feel like more of a community place to eat.

Wow was I surprised. I stepped in to proposition chicken and after reading some other reviews I was going, oh well it's convenient, it's close by , all right I'm going to try it. Boy am I glad I did. The staff was inviting and engaging, that's nice , but the chicken is what we're going here for. The rotisserie chicken is my favorite. And the rotisserie chicken sandwich with a few potato chips was a great dinner for me, she had the rotisserie chicken on top of her salad and was so happy with it but she went back to have it again for lunch the following day. Now with the million restaurants in San Francisco (or more) to choose from she went back to this one . wow I'd go back to except I had gone to the other side of town today. Anyway proposition chicken chicken is a good idea and I suggest it. One of the things you'll find is it it does a very brisk to-go business so it might be wise to call your order in in come pick it up we stayed and had. dinner there? quite pleased with it and we will return again.
