Came here today for the first time with friends visiting from LA. We are all GF and we’re excited to try this place. I ordered the breakfast sampler to go because I wasn’t sure if I would have time to finish before I went to work. My other friends ordered the Lox Bagel and the huevos rancheros. When the food came, I wasn’t given silverware because I ordered my food to go and never received silverware even after I asked for some, I ended up using my fingers. My friend who ordered the Lox didn’t get what she ordered and when she told the male running the food that her order was wrong he then told her that what was in front of her is what she ordered, sooooo rude!!!! This is also the same male who never gave me silverware. My sausage was undercooked and my friend who ordered the huevos rancheros said he wasn’t full and that they were going to grab more food somewhere else. This place isn’t worth...

I was excited to see a gluten-free restaurant serving breakfast foods (hard to find), but I was genuinely disappointed by my experience.

It took me 45+ minutes to receive my food. I asked an employee about the wait, and she stated a large influx of delivery orders came through. It seems they prioritized the deliveries over the customers in-store, as many people were waiting for their orders.

The bone broth was too oily, and the lox was exactly that, nothing unique. The roasted potatoes were disappointing as they weren’t roasted, they were boiled potatoes garnished garlic and chives, served with ketchup.

Hoping to have a better experience next time, but I’m less motivated to come again

Bone broth: 2/5 -plain tasting -no salt added -oily

Roasted Potatoes: 1/5 -not roasted -no salt, lacked flavor -just boiled and cut -undercooked

Lox: 3/5 -GF bagel w/ dairy-free cream...

Feels like it's now a gluten-free gimick. Over the last couple of years, things have overall gone downhill. Service is redundant as this isn't a full service restaurant, which now makes it hard to pay their expected prices for how the food quality is currently.

Waffles will either be soggy or overcooked as they sit in a warmer. Avocado Toast isn't toasted, and the added bacon is cold and par cooked. Tacos are overpriced for only 2 of them and fall apart as there is only one tortilla per taco. Basically, if you're not there shortly after opening, you're eating items cooked at opening and assembled later. Coffee is usually reliable, but today we couldn't even drink it, and it didn't arrive until we decided to give up on our partially eaten breakfast.

They keep the place clean given the high volume of traffic they get, and seating can be tight, but turn around...

A lovely CafĂ©, serving amazing coffee, but the food was very bland. I came in and asked for avocado & poached egg on toast. They said they could only do it on bread. When it came out, the presentation looked fantastic, but unfortunately it was both textureless and tasteless. The gluten free bread was similar to a rye, but had the texture of a firm cake, with no discernible crust so wasn’t so different to the avocado on top. The avocado really needed seasoning and perhaps some lemon juice to give it some flavour. The coffee was amazing, on the other hand! A really nice morning blend that was not too strong and bitter. The staff were also really pleasant. I’ll come back for the coffee, and perhaps try something different on the menu in case this was an off day.

Wanted to like this place, was excited to check it out. Bought a chia pudding, a cookie, and an oat latte, came in at just over $18 with tip, on par for SF. Blueberry’s in the chia had gone bad, cookie was stale. Oat latte was made so hot it burnt my mouth, zero latte art, milk just dumped into coffee and handed over. This coffee shop has such an amazing in-counter espresso machine ($$$), but they skimped on the barista (lady with the straight cut bangs - sorry). Amazing aesthetic and nice place to hang out and do work, but I ended up dumping everything I had bought and going to another coffee shop. I’ll probably leave this review up for a few weeks until I feel bad and take it down, but there ya go.
