Boichik Bagels Sacramento St SF — Restaurant in San Francisco

So surprised today on Sacramento St, SF. Arrived to purchase a classic bagel sandwich to go at 12:20pm. 6 employees were all standing around doing nothing. One gentleman took my order. I left for 5 minutes to move my car. When I came back, my order hadn't even been started. The staff was just standing around talking. Once they saw I was back, a young women started my order but gave me a bagel with only cream cheese on it. She was probably too busy talking to the other employees to pay attention to the order screen in front of her. I came back in and showed them the mistake. They didn't apologize or say anything. Just made me the classic sandwich I ordered. I won't be coming back. What I would recommend is that you fire all 6 employees and start over. They are definitely not concerned about taking care of their customers. I live in the neighborhood but won't be back. I go to the Larkspur store when I'm cycling in Marin. They do a...

Super busy place with decent bagels. I did overall like it, but $16 for the classic bagel is pretty absurd. Yes, it has a lot on it- lox, cream cheese, onion, and capers. But, the lox (while good) wasn't blow you out of the water good. I think it's because it wasn't smoked, or as strongly smoked, as I've had before. It's a decent bagel, but $16 is just too pricey. I did get another pumpernickel bagel with chive cream cheese. It was perfectly fine. Nothing super amazing but also not bad in any way. I do think the bagels are on the small side compared to NY bagels (I'm not from NY) which was slightly disappointing. Service was pretty prompt, and that place is efficient! I liked it, but I don't see myself going out of my way...

Its good… its just too expensive. I went in and bought a bag if their bagels in the fridge thinking i would be saving money for buying bagels that arent fresh. Nope. About $3-4 per bagel… and they arent even hot and likely not fresh either. Some if the bagels in the bag have things on them that dont preserve in the freezer and after thawing (like salt). Just kind of silly. I feel like they think they can charge this much because of their location and news article. And the fact that they didnt even have more than 2-3 types of generic cream cheeses… i thought they would have lots of fun types of whipped cream cheese:(
