Booked a 3 activity birthday this August (2021) and we had the worst experience. Not only they forgot our party platters, provided no guidance regarding when we should have activities but when we told them that our third activity should be 6-7pm they refused to let us do it and we had a very hard time and had to yell at them and they barely agreed to let us waterslide till 6:30. They almost ruined it for our kids.
What was worst are all the lies: "oh we have another party and we are staggering people due to Covid, so that's why we can't have you guys..." at 6:30 our party were the ONLY people using the water slides and when I asked the workers they said the other party already left. The whole experience was very upsetting, having to fight to enjoy what we already paid for: no party hosts (oh it's because of Covid), no table cloth or decorations (oh it's because of Covid) and the whole thing has nothing to do with Covid and everything to do with them being understaffed.
We had an entirely different experience in the summer of 2019 and I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with...
ย ย ย Read moreI was born and raised at Emerald Hills Golfland and have been going for 20 years. It has gotten quite expensive over the years but I guess lack of competition in the Bay Area will cause that (seriously, Golfland holds a monopoly over mini golf courses in the Bay Area lol). Anyway, my recent visit displayed a lack of maintenance at this facility. Lots of leaves on the green and the tee area is completely worn down on many holes. Plus, many of the tunnels have blockages and the moving parts of the buildings do not work. The courses could also be better lit, but I guess thatโs a consequence of mini golfing in the evening. Overall though the courses are designed well and the actual buildings still look nice, plus I know theyโve done some renovations on them.
Iโve only visited the arcade a few times and itโs been fun. No complaints there. Golfland has a huge selection of games. I canโt speak on the food or drink.
I havenโt done the waterslides in many years but theyโre probably the best thing about this place! The red one is the fastest but the black one goes underground and is...
ย ย ย Read moreGolfland is not paying any attention to social distancing. On their web site it says to make a reservation to prevent crowding and maintain social distancing. We made a reservation and when we arrived, there was a line at the window and the place was CROWDED. We asked if all these people had reservations and we were told that they take walk-ins during the week and only reservations on the weekend. Is the virus spread only on the weekends?? Makes you wonder if they take any of the other precautions listed on their website. Definitely would not go there if you expect them to be following CDC guidelines.
Update: This is in response to their response. You obviously did not read our review. We said we made a reservation. It was the fact that you allowed walk-ins as well. It was extremely crowded because of the walk-ins and since you have to check in, in one tiny place, where they also sell food, it makes it unable to be social distanced in that area. It doesn't matter if there are acres of holes, the fact that you are not limiting customers is completely inappropriate...
