Today I went for a late lunch at IL Nuovo Mercato and ordered a churrasco in the booth designated for meat orders . I recieved my order within 10minutes but upon looking at it the meat looked like it had been sitting for awhile and when I sat down and started to cut into it it seemed overcooked and not medium as I requested also it was cold to the touch as I suspected the baked potatoes were cold also. I was just going to eat it anyways . But I noticed that there was no chimichurri sauce that came with it so I went to the counter to ask the guy that took my order for some. So he attended very politely and mistakenly told me that my orders coming right out but I said had I already recieved my order thankyou I just wanted some sauce to which he said they dont make it but since I was there I just casualy told him the problem with my order. To which he said that he will glad give me a new one no problem which I thought was great of him at the time to be so service orientated and friendly . Another 10 minutes pass I get called to pick up the order .. to my surprise it was the same steak that I turned in and it wasn't even at the least re-heated beacise I could my initial cut into the meat previously. Im not one to complain usually if the food sucks I just eat it or dont and just never go back there again. But just their non chalant attitudes, how they were looking over and laughing and how they brazenly tried to take me for an idiot got on my nerves is the reason why I am writing this review. The waitress asked me atleast how was my food and if everything was alright naturally I told her what happened and the supervisor did come by to take care of me which is why I given it 2 stars instead of 1 but I declined . I had given them a plate and they were supposedly going to give a properly cooked steak but in turn recieved the same old overcooked steak so naturally the question in my mind is what where they doing with my plate for 10 minutes if nothing was done to it . No thanks I'll pass . Never going back there again. Unfortunate because I liked the concept it basically one restaurant with multiple...
Read moreMy recent visit to Il Nuovo Mercato showcased both the strengths and areas for improvement within the restaurant. On a positive note, the service from the staff stood out prominently. They were attentive, friendly, and quick to respond, which added a pleasant touch to our dining experience.
The concept of Il Nuovo Mercato, with its open area and market-style dining, provides a unique and vibrant atmosphere. This setup allows diners to enjoy a variety of dishes in a lively environment, echoing the bustling energy of a traditional market. However, the open design also presents some challenges. One significant issue was the presence of flies around our meals, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of our food. This aspect of the dining experience could certainly benefit from more effective management to ensure a more comfortable environment for guests.
Additionally, while the staff was commendable for their service, the organization of the service could be improved. There seemed to be some confusion and lack of coordination at times, which led to a feeling of disorganization. Streamlining operations and improving communication within the team could help enhance the efficiency and smoothness of the service.
In conclusion, Il Nuovo Mercato has the potential to offer a delightful dining experience with its unique market-style atmosphere and excellent staff. However, addressing issues related to the dining setup and organizational aspects of service will be crucial for elevating the overall experience...
Read moreThis place was great, actually. The different stations to order food with the center located bar. Walking around looking at what they have is an experience in and of itself. Having a different waiter/check for your food and drink. It was a little weird, but it was okay. Now... to the food. We ordered 2 pizzas. We ordered a Bisciola and a Margherita. These were amazing Italian style stone oven fired pizzas. Everything was right. From the dryer brick oven fired crust to the slight char on the bottom of the crust, the cheese, the toppings. Everything was amazing. Every bite you take, it's as if anything that could make it better would never enter your mind... but wait. With the offer of good grated parm and red pepper flakes and olive oil to add to your pizza. The olive oil was a great addition to a great pizza. Though I do wish they would have chosen a better olive oil. Everything was great. The only downside to all of this was the lemonade. I feel it was a bit lacking. Resembling lemon water more than lemonade. Yet if that was the only down side. I'll take it. This is definitely a must stop for anyone who...
