I bought a GE washer and dryer comb offline but I needed to go into Home Depot and grab a gas line, vent duck, and adapters to connect to gas line. As I looked for these products I was passed by several Home Depot employees and no one asked me if I needed helped. After about 25min I was able to find the correct parts. As I proceeded to self checkout there was a small line with several Home Depot employees they were standing around talking and telling people which checkout stations to use. When it was my turn an employee by the name of Cecilia decided that I looked suspicious so she wanted to scan my items. She walked me over to a checkout where there is a customer finishing up his own checkout without assistance. I had five small items and she scanned them all then proceeded to rescan some of them after I told her she already scanned those. Then she took the items placed on the counter and counted them again then checked the monitor again. Then she proceeded to rush me to pay i asked her can I put my pro rewards info in. So as I am entering my info she stands and just watches me , once I get to the credit card part she asked me is there a problem. I then told her yes . I don’t need help and I never asked for help to check out , you are not doing this to anybody else. She gets an attitude and stands away from me but continues to watch me as I pay. I am a business owner and spend a lot of money in Home Depot every year. this is the second time in less than two months I have had experienced discrimination in two different locations this San Mateo #0632 and Union City location. This store was not organized for items that should be in the same area and the customer service sucks, everyone she be treated the same no matter the color of their skin. Having someone treat you like you are going to steal is very disrespectful, I wouldn’t shop at this Home Depot again and maybe that is what you guys are aiming for to not have people of color in this location.

This is madness. (I got hung up on 3 times) I ordered a $500 workbench that was delivered without the necessary parts to assemble the person at the store was more than gracious and helpful process the return and ordered a new one for me, even though the process took an hour and a half for her to complete. She went the extra mile and told me it would be assembled for me in a month when the item arrived. I received an email that the item had arrived, I Called the store, and they informed me after half hour of waiting on hold that it would be a few more days until the item would be a a few more days until the item was assembled. I waited the necessary time and then called to see if it was assembled for me. I waited an hour and a half on hold on Friday morning at 8:30am and hung up on three different times while trying to get a hold of customer service representative something needs to be fixed. Update: finally after the item came in and it was assembled for me I went to pick it up and it was damaged. A big hunk was out of the front of the item. Had to take it back into the store after rolling it out to the parking lot ended up returning the item and ordering another. We will see how it goes. This is absolutely ridiculous.

This store feels smaller than the one in San Carlos, but usually suffices when it comes to finding what I need. Although things like concrete retaining wall blocks are less expensive than some other stores, they don't deliver. Ordering things online is another option for those that don't have a large truck to haul things home or to your job site. They use a 3rd party delivery service so don't expect much. My last delivery did have damaged parts within the kit, so buyer beware! As a big box hardware store.... you get what you get. Best to pick up in person so that you can inspect each item personally. Happy building!

This bustards will OVERWORK & OVERLOAD their employees. Many UNLAWFUL TERMINATIONS done by "management" with poor or no knowledge, or some simply choose to ignore Labor Rules & Regulations (with the exception of Geo & Robert/great guys in my book). This HD have EXTREMELY POOR MANAGEMENT structure, even EXTREMELY WORSE POOR TRAINING structure/relation when it comes to managers training employees hands-on..not just by watching a couple videos n throwing them out to work the floors on day two. Lots of FAVORITISM towards employees, as CHEAP as any company can get... Customers blowing up the phones n HD staff ignores calls like a plague. Also, not all, but lots of the staff will ignore customers who should b being approached to begin with, instead staff avoids the contact, n it's not cause staff r bad people...they simply feel under-confident cause THEY KNOW they haven't been properly trainned. Essentially, all comes down to NASTY N ARROGANT management. (Damn if u ask for help. Damn if u don't!!) I'm sorry Valerie (Store Manager) I like u, great person I'm sure...but as a STORE MANAGER u got no grip on ur people. U go by making crucial decisions mostly based on what u r told by ur weak links below u...who btw, those r the very one talking trash behind ur back, making it very clear they r chopping ur legs out of ur position for them to have. There r rumors u transferring store, n they r already celebrating the idea of u leaving. Anyhow people, don't work, at least at this store, unless u ready to kiss a*s, or b overworked. *If u don't believe me, I suggest u go into the store, stand by any Dept..desk (Returns/"Customers Service" desk would b a perfect choice to start with), pull out ur cell, place a call to that store n select or ask to b transferred to that particular desk...n personally c/confirm how ur call gets ignored. Walk the aisles n approach as many HD reps n grade them. As an employee, as a consumer, not to mention as a Paying Customer we deserve to b treated with the utmost importance n respect. At least this Foster City/San Mateo HD lacks those basics rules...

I wish I had checked the reviews before I gave them $4200+ installation orders. The service of this Home Depot is the worst of all. Definitely stay away from it on installation service!

My bad experience has been more than 10 weeks and it is still ongoing with my zombie orders with them.

The installation order promises to schedule pre-site check within TWO days. After they took all my money upfront, no one has contacted me for FOUR weeks.

The installation order estimates to complete the installation within FOUR weeks after placing the order. Now its TEN weeks later, I am still waiting for their schedule.

After such long wait and still uncertain future wait, I wanted to cancel my order. The store staff said it is not refundable and told me I either stay with them or lose all my money. She even insists to deliver to doors to my home (in order to justify her charge) although I explicitly asked her not to do illegal dumping.

The installation department never picks up calls. The only way to reach them is to call Central HomeDepot line, who can call the store manager and get someone to handle your call. Such redirection takes 30 minutes minimum.

The staff I spoke to is extremely rude. After taking $4200 from me and telling me to wait again and again, she told me to be nice to her because she is helping me (otherwise I will lose all my money!)

The Home Depot outsource all the installation projects. Their vendor's service quality is just as bad as the store. The vendor is off work by 2PM, and never replying to any email. Even for "rush order", they need 2-4 weeks just to get the door, and another indefinite delay to install.

Today (8/11) I had my final conversation with the store staff as she refused to refund my order. So I am going to dispute all these charges, because they failed to deliver any service and violated the timelines in service agreement completely. I have wasted tens of hours in the past 2 months just to find out what is going on with my orders.

Doing business with this Home Depot is a complete...
