I am not sure if they have a franchise model or not. I hope they do because I had such a poor experience at the Foster City location I have never returned to any Habit Restaurant and never will. Given that inflation has significantly risen lately, and the cost of a Burger fries and soda neared 20 dollars, I was extremely disappointed to be told when I collected my order and politely asked for a sauce cup of BBQ sauce that there would be an extra charge. I realize that some of you may think it is insignificant to ask for .25 cents for a 2 ounce cup of BBQ sauce but the situation was off putting.
1- You pay upfront for your order. I used a credit card. 2- You are asked for a tip when paying without knowing what type of service you will be receiving and in my estimation a tip is reserved at the conclusion of my experience and will reflect the service I receive. Not the service I receive reflecting the tip I leave. 3- when collecting my meal and being told a condiment that allows me more enjoyment of my meal will cost me and extra amount in which requires removal of my wallet and sliding a card for a charge of .25 cents.
When I was informed about the extra charge I was so taken aback and put off I went back to my table retrieved my receipt and asked for a full refund to include my tip because in my view the meal was un-edible with out this condiment. I was offered the condiment as a consolation after but still elected to have the cost of the meal refunded. I went next door to the pizza place instead.
I doubt anyone will read this but under no circumstances should you ever tip anyone before you receive your service. And if you as a business solicit a tip you should ensure your customer is content with their meal from the way it has been prepared, cooked, brought to you, that the restaurant is clean and free of trash and debris. There are far better options near by including a 5 Guys around the corner, Chipotle, Nick the Greek, Mod, even Taco Bell has better service. On account of this one experience I will never patronize this chain again. I used to eat there at least 1 time a week. It doest help they got rid of the steak...
Read moreI was visiting from texas and the food here was great, however I had a terrible experience with one of the staff members who worked here. I placed an order on the kiosk and put in my phone number so that my receipt gets texted to me. I told the lady that the receipt still hasn't come to me and I need it as I have to submit expenses. She kept explaining that you have to put your number and that they can not give printed receipts. I tried to explain several times that I have already put my number and that I haven't recieved it and i am not asking for a printed receipt. instead of listening and understanding she kept saying " no nunber , no receipt" very rudely and was being extremely stubborn.
I asked to speak to the manager as she wasn't able to find a solution and was not understanding the issue. She got offended that i asked to speak to the manager and claimed to be the manager. Another staff member interfered and I told her my frustration and that the lady was not being helpful or understanding my issue. Staff member 1 got aggressive and ignorantly responded saying "I understand english completely i speak english." Not once did I say or even think she didn't understand english or accuse her of not understanding because of a language barrier! This was an extremely irresponsible way of her to response. She simply didn't understand that I was asking for a solution to not having the receipt sent to my phone!
Although the second lady/staff member 2 was helpful in finding a solution and was quick to pull up my order and let me take a picture of my receipt from her screen, she was adamant it was my fault and was constantly defending staff number 1 rather than admitting fault that she mishandled the situation and blew it out of proportion. She could have easily prevented this unnecessary confrontation if she kept a positive attitude and tried to understand the ask of the customer rather than...
Read moreI am rating my experience as someone who doordashed for someone. My customer simply ordered one item. This one item was a shake. I had to wait 25 to 30 minutes for this darn thing. Why did i have to wait that long for a shake? What if i was the actual customer? Im sure the customer was livid. Needless to say, my review was not pleasant because of the habit. It was me that was reflected....not them. 30 minutes for a shake? I mean cone on. The cashier had to stop what she was doing just to make the darn thing and it only took less than 2 minutes......Oh.....Em......Gee.....
I arrived when no one was there. To later leave when there was a line out the door. This was yesterday, (3/5/23), at approx 630pm. Im not complaining but my customer sure did and that's another story. I had to get this off my chest because my doordash review reflected negatively.
