READ ALL OF THIS PLEASE Makes sense why this place has 3 stars… 0 Star rating if I could but we all know Google only lets you do minimum 1 star so there it is… I applied recently to this complex and could not be more frustrated and sad about the entire process. Saw unit available on Apartments.com, and was able to get ahold of a live person who told me a 2 bedroom 2 bath was available for move in immediately. I lived nearby and went to tour the unit the same day and got in touch with Alexus who guided me through the tour virtually. I was feeling very good about the unit and the complex as it suited my family’s needs. Was told my Alexus that we “can’t wait to welcome you to our community”.
It goes completely downhill from here…
Me and my partner work full time, have decent credit scores (700+), and met all of the rental qualifications provided by Alexus. I was the primary applicant and applied online through the link provided by her and put paid an application fee, as well as put a holding deposit down to take the unit off of the market. My partner was unable to apply online due to the secondary link sent expiring, so I was told we could submit a paper application via email it to Blair, the primary leasing agent. Blair accepted his application and we were corresponding via email. She then stopped responding to my emails when I requested and had additional questions.
The problem arouse when they only allowed my partner and I to submit proof of income via a secured link that only allowed uploads directly from the source. My partner was able to download his paystubs from his employer and submit them perfectly, but my employer uses Dayforce by Ceridian for access to our paystubs and the link would not accept the pdf forms of the paystubs I downloaded from my employer. I was told that I could submit my bank statements as an alternative and was able to contact my bank to get secured PDF versions of those bank statements and upload them via the secured link.
Then I get a text from either Alexus or Blair saying my bank statements looked edited and to resend them. I resubmitted them, as well as providing my W2 from my employer, my job offer letter, etc. I even went to my employer’s payroll supervisor and she was willing to provide income verification stating the income I put on my application was accurate. No answer to my employer from Blair and no response from Blair when asked if this could be okay alternate option as the secured link wouldn’t take my paystubs.
I then am told that since my pay stubs weren’t submitted there is a longer approval process. When in fact on the secured link it said paystubs, W2s, and bank statements were an acceptable form of verification.
I then get another text asking if I’ve submitted my additional forms of income verification and I told them I had done that and was told that they were sorry for the confusion and were able to complete my application with the forms I submitted and all that was needed was a money order for my partner’s application fee and holding deposit for the unit. So I go and pay the money order the next day. Then 30 minutes after I get the money order, I am told my application is denied. They told me I was going to be sent an email providing details… No email… I then asked when my holding deposit would be refunded and there is no answer. I followed up multiple times throughout the day and still no answer.
I also want to note they did not even contact my current landlord, yet ran a rental report for me and my partner’s application. Then deny me 2 days later without supplying a reason after jumping through hoops to prove my income.
I have text message receipts I can provide, and it seems like a Fair Housing Law violation to me. If my holding deposit is not returned I will be disputing it with my bank. I need answers now. Someone needs to contact me immediately or I will be further escalating this manner through the proper channels, as someone who worked in Property Management for over a year prior to my current job.
I’m giving this a week....

Read moreThis has been one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had. I strongly advise anyone considering this apartment to look elsewhere.
The problems started from day one and continued even after moving out. First, the building is incredibly unsafe. It is a regular occurrence to find homeless individuals sleeping inside the building hallways and common areas. Police visits are frequent, and package theft is so common that you can't risk having anything delivered. It speaks volumes that many residents have been forced to install their own security cameras on their doors just to feel a little secure.
The living conditions are just as bad. The community spaces are consistently dirty, and the entire building constantly smells of weed. The walls are paper-thin, so you can hear absolutely everything your neighbors are doing and saying at all hours. If you value peace and quiet, this is not the place for you.
Don't expect any help from management. There is no managing team on-site, and when you can get ahold of them, their attitude is completely indifferent and unhelpful. The only positive point in my entire time here was Thayer, who is in charge of repairs. He was always prompt and professional. The management team could learn a lot from him. Instead, their primary concern seems to be finding ways to charge you for unexpected fees after you move out.
Finally, the parking lot is a daily headache. It's extremely small and difficult to navigate.
Save yourself the stress, money, and safety concerns. Avoid this place...
