Crown Billiards — Local services in San Ramon

As the closest pool hall to me, it wins by default. The staff are friendly, the customers (usually) are equally as friendly, and the atmosphere is what you'd expect at a pool hall. They have mostly regular sized pool tables but also have two smaller tabl3s that take quarters. The place is always packed during times people get off work and want to enjoy a few rounds of pool.

Two downside sides: first, the quality of the sticks available. If you like nice cues, then bring your own. Second, they don't have food available, and the service that you can order from (a qr code at the bar) is horrible. They accepted our order, confirmed, and never gave an update. 40 minutes later, we walked over to the place that took the orders, and it was closed. Fortunately, we got our refund...

$2/per table all Sunday is a deal I almost couldn't believe. When I saw "$2 pool, 2 player min" on their website, it sounded like $2 per person. Imagine how shocked I was when we left after around one hour (they gave us a bit of time to setup) and the total came out to be $1.80 for the four of us. That's 45 cents each. I paid more for a song on their jukebox. There is eerie green lighting and old TVs here as well. Love it!

I remember I got a beer once and the lady said she would "put it on our tab" but she didn't end up charging me in the end. I informed her I got a beer and she said "I don't see it." and looked at me like it was more trouble than it was worth.

They have tournaments going on all the time for different leagues and happy hour...

Usually coming here to play pool with friends, the customer service of a new tall lady was terrible today. We asked for a couple of Red Bull cans and waited for 15 minutes, but the lady was continuously ignoring us. We waited until she was completely free and politely requested her if she can still process our request, suddenly she turned on us and start yelling and said I am not going to help you guys. We didn’t want to escalate the issue so we walked away without drinks. We hope someone from the management team take care of this issue and stop this embarrassing, terrible customer service.
