The sales associate was rude. I asked several times about the nature of a table linen fabric. She said "it is a fabric I sell in the store". I asked again twice. As we were admiring some overpriced scarves in the back of the store, she told us that we would need to leave because she had to get on a zoom meeting. What retail store that you know closes for a meeting? How very odd!
We walked further down the street and found lovely sales people and fairly priced goods in the stores there. They got our money!!
Additional comment after store reply: I felt the fabric and did not pull on the cloth. None of the precious items on the table were at risk. Also, of course we left the store willingly per her request. I do think the store owner should not represent herself as a boutique if she wants to only deal with her interior...

How in god’s green earth could I choose one gift when everything in the shop was so beautiful. Fortunately the owner understood and was so kind to point me towards a gorgeous glass candle holder for mom and some pillow spray for mom’s friend. Pillow spray, who knew? She wrapped the gifts in exquisite paper and I bought two beautiful cards and I was saved. My mom was over the moon and I’m going back for my own bottle of pillow spray!...
