Sweet Tomatoes Pizza — Restaurant in Sandwich

I've been here twice in the last couple of months and it's really mediocre across the board.

Restaurant - tables not clean.

Staff - unfriendly, nobody smiling, no one greets you.

Food and beverage - pizza mediocre. The toppings are fine but nothing special. The pizza was rolled so thin at the edges there was no puffy crust. It was more like a soggy cracker than a pizza. Burnt cornmeal coating on the bottom makes it taste gritty and burnt. Soggy and soupy in the middle.

No cups for water, forcing you to buy a water bottle. The staff said they were out of cups, both times.

Got there at 7:15 pm and manager is slamming chairs around moving them back into place at 7:59 pm, as a signal that they are closing and we should get moving.

$35.00 for a large with variety of toppings and a bottled water. Feels like a rip off to me.

Sweet Tomatoes of Sandwich, MA is far and away the very best. We’ve been going back to this location since it first opened 24 years ago. The thin crust Neapolitan style pizza is heavenly, even just the plain pizza, but also comes with a wide choice of traditional toppings as well as some specialties such as Hawaiian, pesto, and clam; all outstanding. Not only is the owner Kerri, and her sister Trina, masters of their craft, using the best ingredients, but engaging and welcoming to their customers making for an unforgettable experience. My wife and I just made a five hour car ride just to get their pizza for lunch and we’re on a Sweet Tomatoes pizza high that will hold us over for a couple days before getting a booster shot of pizza on...
