I came to Quawn James (Gentle Giant Care) already knowing exactly what I needed for my peptide treatment. I was charged $233 CAD (about $150 USD) for a “consultation” that lasted less than five minutes. During that call, he was rude, condescending & dismissive.

He provided no new information, just told me to buy products I had already researched myself.

He said the $233 (150USD) consultation fee would go toward the final treatment, but when he sent the invoice, the fee was missing. When I politely asked for clarification, his tone turned even more disrespectful and petty. He told me he would send a corrected invoice; which he never did. Instead, he informed my trainer (the one who referred me) that he “refuses to do business with me.”

I did not “opt out of service.” I simply asked for a fair and accurate invoice. Quawn James tried to sell me an unnecessary red light mask that I clearly declined which was put on the invoice.

The invoice he sent also did not show my $233 CAD ($150USD) consultation fee being applied toward the treatment, as promised. When I asked for a corrected invoice, he never sent it. Instead, he refused to continue working with me and only issued a partial refund. I was left paying $131 CAD for nothing.

I had to chase down a refund through my trainer and only received $101.54 CAD back, meaning I still paid $131 CAD for a five-minute call where I was treated horribly. No treatment, no corrected invoice, no accountability—just a complete waste of time and money.

This experience was unethical, unprofessional, and deeply unpleasant. I strongly caution anyone against giving this business your credit card information or paying any consultation fees upfront without a written agreement.

Update: The owner’s response mentions my “financial standing,” which is inaccurate. I did go on to purchase the same peptides through another provider for a similar total. I just went with a company that was respectful and transparent. The issue was never the cost. It was the experience, the tone, and the lack of value provided during the consult. For the past few months I have not been feeling like myself. All the signs point to the phase of life I was now going through: Peri-menopause or Pre-menopause; some kind of darn pause! This is the day after and I am already feeling the difference! I can’t say enough good things about this place.
