My boyfriend and I were looking to buy a new mattress and did research to visit local mattress stores. We arrived at Sit N Sleep on a Friday evening and met Shel, the store manager, on the floor. He was actually helping another customer when we arrived so we took our time to walk around and laid on a couple of beds. He acknowledged us a couple times even while he was with the other customer and thanked us every time for our patience. Shel finished with the other customer and introduced himself to us. He asked us what we currently have, how we feel about it, and what we think our preferences were. He showed us a variety of mattress brands all the while answered all of the questions we had and provided background information on the mattresses that peaked our interests. Shel was extremely professional yet was very personable and super easy to talk to, he was so patient with us and walked around with us, but he also excused himself and gave us our space to talk amongst ourselves and to continue trying out the different beds at our own pace without feeling rushed. We were new to buying a shared mattress together so we came there with a very open mind. Shel had told us he's been in the business for over 20 years, (it really explains his great demeanor and his expansive knowledge on each brand and their individual bed type/styles). He made the entire experience enjoyable and it wasn't intimidating at all. We weren't planning on buying anything that night so he wrote down the mattress we liked the most and a few other additional information and we said our goodbyes. My boyfriend and I talked that night and we decided on the Infinity Hybrid mattress which fit within our budget as well as our preference in bed type; it was really an instant "wow" from the both of us when we first laid down on it, and it's all thanks to Shel for showing it to us. We called Shel the next morning, Saturday, and told him we'd be coming in again to purchase the mattress just to give him a heads up. When we got there, he was wrapping up with a customer so we got to try out the bed one last time before we made our decision, still a hard yes from the both of us. Shel helped us very shortly after, got all of our information and said the mattress would be coming the next day. Today, which is Sunday, the mattress came within the 3-hour window of us being notified the night before of its arrival. They also took away our old mattress for free. We spent no more than 2 hours to build up our new bed frame and placed our new mattress on top. Shel made this entire experience stress-free and so easy. I would very much recommend him to anyone who's looking for a new mattress. Not only are the prices there so darn affordable, his customer service was top notch. Thanks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNoticed that our Mattress was starting to look like the Mom's bed in the movie Psycho (slight indentation), so my wife and I decided time to go and see Larry at Sit'n Sleep and buy a new mattress. We went to the Santa Ana location and Ron Gonzalez helped us through our Goldilocks expedition. You know..."This bed's too soft...this bed's too firm..." and finally, "This bed's just right.". We'd settled on the Kingsdown Sonora Queen size with a regular price of $1,999. We lucked out getting to the store on the last day of the ad cycle and the mattress was special priced at $869. We saved an additional $100, because we went online before going to the store and found and printed a coupon that was on their website. Throughout our time in the store, Ron was both informative and patient with my weak attempts at mattress humor. The one where I take a pea and put it under the mattress, lie down and then get quickly up in obvious (fake) backpain. This always gets some laughs at home, but only got a slight chuckle from Ron. I bet he's seen that act a thousand times before. I could keep on like this all day, but let me finish by saying we bought the bed today and they're delivering it tomorrow. Not only that, they're taking away the old bed away. There's even more that I'll let you discover yourself (hint: 10 year warranty, 60 day try it program). Thanks Ron for taking care of us and thanks Larry for setting customer service standards that all retailers should try to emulate. Larry, any thoughts on the upcoming season for the Lakers? Probably know better in a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe salesperson was very knowledgeable and patient as we walked around and laid on many mattresses. While shopping I asked him a ballpark price for the mattress, we were interested in. He said around $5,000 plus or minus a hundred dollars. Once we sat down to purchase it, then it went from informative to sales tactics. The price came in at $8,300! Thatās not a couple hundred dollars more! Of course, he added on the overpriced mattress covers and stuff and said if we didnāt get this and there was stain on the mattress, then that would void the warranty. A bed failure is based on mattress sagging and we all should know they canāt resell a mattress so why would a potential stain have anything to do with a mattress sagging or failing? Anything to void the warrantee, I guess. Then he went on and said I can get that down. In my mind I knew that he wasnāt going to take $3000 off. Then he explained that his boss, and turned around and pointed to a picture of Larry on wall, can change the prices at any time. If he does, I will get a check automatically. Therefore, he had to give us the best possible priceā¦. WAY too many sales tricks going on here to make me think I was getting a good deal. I did buy mattress this weekend but NOT at Sit N Sleep. I bought pretty much the same mattress down the street for $3000 less. Even the adjustable frame I ended up with had more features and was $1000 less.
Even their slogan of "... or your mattress is freeee..." is a bunch a BS. because there were definitely the highest priced and I didn't get a...
