Went here on June 2nd. Been to the mall probably over 6years. Always stop by here. They have cute utensils and all sorts of anime related plushies and blind bags. I went that day after months and did not know they added those cute little claw machines. Very cute. There's also some at round 1 on level floor. This anime store is on the second story/level. The staff over the years are very kept to themselves unless they are talking to a coworker/friends. Haven't had a bad encounter so that's epic. They will answer any questions you guys have. They added a lot of sanrio plushies and they're cute. I recommend their utensils a lot though. Compared to the other anime related shops in the mall, this one should be your first stop since it has been there longer than the others + more than half of the store is budget friendly compared to the other stores. Other stores are more figurine based. This one has some nice gachapons too.

This store is my second favorite anime store in Main Place Mall. I visit both before deciding on my hauls of the day. I love how many Pokémon plushes they have. They’re always really nice and not pushy like at another anime store on that same level. I feel at ease when I come here it has better energy than the other location (unsure of name). That other store has more Pokémon plushes but because of how they act is why we don’t buy from them. It’s something that’s come up in my family. We naturally gravitate here and don’t bother visiting the competition anymore. They also have some $1 small claw vending machines. Thanks for the friendly service.

Very cool location at the main place, mall. It's a little cheap but much better than other places it's within reasonable price

Don't come here if you want to work, I went to the store and have the interview and the manager walks pass me without greeting me nor shaking my hand, and during the interview, the manager was so uninterested in my resume or my answers when he ask me some questions, I gave him some good answers too like what are the most popular anime right now and when thr interview was over I finally got to shake his hand but he gave me the dead fish handshake and I waited 2 weeks for the store to call me and guess what? They didn't! Because why? They don't want a Latino American to work for them, so if you are Latino American, don't work for Tokyo Japanese lifestyle and never shop their stores!!!

Update July 1st, 2025

I visited the Store looking for a specific model kit from the Zoids franchise. From the moment I walked in, the experience went downhill. I greeted the cashier with a friendly “hello” and even asked how her day was—she didn’t respond at all. No eye contact, no acknowledgement. Completely rude.

I showed her pictures of the Zoids kits I was searching for and asked if they carried them, but her response was dismissive, unhelpful, and frankly unprofessional. She didn’t even try to assist or communicate clearly. It was clear she had no interest in helping customers.

Even after that, I still remained polite and said “thank you” and “have a nice day” as I was leaving—and again, no response. Just silence. It was embarrassing to witness such poor behavior from someone representing a retail store.

Honestly, it made me question the kind of hiring standards this store has. If management is okay with this kind of behavior, it says a lot about how little they value customer service. It’s clear the manager doesn’t care about professionalism or basic courtesy.

It’s sad to say, but the cashier’s lack of manners suggests she was never raised to be a respectful or decent member of society. Basic human decency shouldn’t be optional when working in customer service.

I walked out disappointed and annoyed. I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend this store to anyone expecting even a shred of...

So I went there today with my family because my kids like buying stuff from there, but I won't be going back because there was this young girl with dark hair wearing black/purple cat ears. She was rude all the time, and seemed to be bothered everytime we asked her something, perhaps because she was talking to her boyfriend who was next to her . The thing that upset me the most was when I asked her a for a price of a Godzilla toy..but at the same moment my youngest son, who has autism was stemming and making some noise which In my opinion was not loud at all but to her it was..and she made a very mad face..and said she couldn't hear me, and I asked her again..and she replied with I cant hear you again ..and I said maybe if you didnt have your music so loud you would be able to hear me..and she said maybe if that kid wasn't too loud I would .and I told her that my son has autism and that she was very rude .she just looked mad all the time we were there .she shouldn't be working there if she doesn't like to deal with customers..and like I said her music was louder then my son .she was straight out rude and heartless..I'm not going back...
