I came here for the convenience since it was close to an appointment I had later and they could fit me in. However it was the worst manicure experience I have had. I’m not sure of the guy’s name that booked me but he was not gentle. Never have I gone to a salon that removed my dip powder with a cuticle cutter and an acrylic nail! My old dip was starting to lift off my natural nail so he said it was easier for him to cut parts off where it was lifting with a cuticle cutter and then used an acrylic nail to get underneath and pop off the rest of it. Immediately I told him that it felt weird. On the second nail I said this kinda hurts. On the 4th nail I said this is hurting, do you use acetone soak? He said no this is better. I told him “I’m okay with soaking them, I have the time for it”, but he didn’t listen to me. He went on a tangent that everyone does it differently. I would also like to mention that I was the only person in the salon, there was definitely time to remove them properly with acetone. After removing 7 of my nails and splitting the tips on two of them, I asked for the nail drill. He did switch to the drill but he was also quick to burn me.

Finally the old dip was removed. He did not offer to cut my nails. Once I realized he was ready to start setting the dip powder, I had to tell him I wanted my nails cut not just filed (mainly because he broke two of my nails and I wanted it to be even). When we got to the dipping part, he repeatedly dipped each nail in the powder making them thick and uneven. This isn’t all that bad since you can smooth it out with the drill later, but it did take longer this way and caused the color to be less bright since he had to smooth so much of it down.

And because he had to smooth so much down, he cut me 4 times at the cuticle beds with the nail drill!! It’s been two days since I got my nails and they are still stinging!! I’ve been putting Neosporin on because I’m worried about infection.

To top it alllll off, I had to pay an extra $10 for the removal of dip!! A removal that wasn't even properly done! This 50min appointment cost me $70!! I have never not tipped before but this was a time I for sure felt no tip was needed. I did clarify the price of dip on the phone before, but I was not aware they charge extra if you already have dip on. Every salon I’ve been to includes removal in the price if you're getting a full set.

The end result is nice, but it was the worst experience ever. And overpriced. I feel scammed and I don’t not think this salon is up to regulations for dip nails. Never have I seen a manicurist remove dip nails like that before. I highly do NOT recommend coming here for dip powder nails.

This first photo is right after I got them done, you can see 3 of my nails on this hand are cut at the nail bed. Also when he was doing the top gel coat, you could clearly see they were bleeding and he didn't mention anything about it. The second photo is two days later, my nail beds are still...

I just went there last Sunday, I’ve gone there ever sense I was in high school & they have always been so good , but the last couple of times I’ve gone my nails have looked so bad. They rushed through the French tip acrylic and there are bubbles everywhere and my nails are crooked and there is acrylic over the side of my fingernails on my skin and if I try to take it off it will take the whole nail off & while she was drilling she cut me atleast 6 times. I refuse to go back after having such horrible service after I’ve gone there for years. They have seriously lost their touch and I really hope the people that read these reviews take this review seriously and does not go here. I am not the only one this happened to. Tammy helped me and that is the last time I will ever go there because of her horrible service . DO NOT GO TO TAMMY! her husband Jim usually did mine but he had the day off. Absolute HORRIBLE service and...

I am visiting from Palm Springs, looked up nail salons,Fancy nails was close to my son's house, liked there prices on their site. So I go,price on u Internet $14.00,I called the day before just to verify was told $16,00 Ok still fair price. So today my bill was $26.00,,I got a simple manicure no polish, the girl who need my nails spent all of 15 minutes with me,how does $16.00 plus $5.00 for what was suppose to be shiny buff,it was not ad up to $25.00 plus a dollar for using a credit card When I get back to Palm Springs,I will get a real shiny buff.

I come to Santa Barbara about 5x a year, will never go back there. It was a total rip off false advertising...
