This place was great. I had 5 street tacos. The lengua was so good it didn't even make it out the door, very soft and moist, and tasted like lengua rather than just beef. The chorizo was around middle of the line (but chorizo is always good), not as geasy as I prefer but also not super salty, which was nice because it let me taste the rest of the ingredients. The chicharron was a new one for me, I think I have never seen chicharron tacos before; very well made chicharron the flavor of the salsa really absorbed into the meat, was just a little bit sweet, I do recommend this. The tripa and al pastor were the stars for me. The tripa was hella crispy, but still tasted like tripa, and the al pastor really was probably close to the best al pastor I've ever had w/ actual pineapple in it, and you can taste the Lebanese spices in the meat.
I expect on a November night probably the restaurant crowds are mostly eating at home, but there were some others there when i was there, so i could imagine it being pretty busy in warmer weather. The prep was super speedy, too; not that I had a lot of food, but it still came out very fast. Super convenient location for a quick stop off...
Read moreIf you're searching for the best taco shop in Santa Barbara, look no further! The welcoming atmosphere at this hidden gem is unmatched, with smiles from the kitchen and friendly waves that make you feel right at home. The variety of authentic options is simply mouthwatering, and my kids can't get enough of anything with chicken.
But let's talk about those tortas – packed with hot salsa, one even brought me into labor! To this day, it remains the best taco experience in Santa Barbara. While Los Agaves is beloved by many and has its moments, if you crave the real deal, this is the spot for you. All the gringos might flock to Los Agaves, but true taco aficionados know where the real flavor is.

Read moreI had seen this taqueria before. Today I made the decision to stop and try their tacos, typical small double tortilla taco their sazon was OK, not perfect. I order 5 tacos 2 alpastor it wasn't bad nor good. 2 lengua tacos the meat seemed to be a combination of new and old. The other taco wasn't good at all. They have a self serve salsa bar with shop cilantro white onions rabanos and limes with 4 different salsas they are super spicy a little more than I would like it to be. They made me cry more than that unnamed woman who was unfaithful to me.
Over all it was a good experience Thank you to Jeni for coming to my table...
