The food here was embarrassingly bad.
I ordered the crispy rice, which is one of my favorite dishes at Sama Sama proper, but this one tasted like someone poured a bag of camping rice into a bowl and didn’t add water. There were about 3 bites of sausage in it.
The tater tots were the frozen ones (which I’m fine with) but cooked badly so that you could barely taste any potato inside. Tried my friends smash burger and it was fine, but nearly twice as much as third window and not as good.
I liked the vibe so really wanted to enjoy the food, but I won’t be coming back here. Maybe a simpler menu...
Read moreLama Sama is my new favorite place in SB. Tried to go on Sunday and it was a ZOO so beware it gets busy. Tried again on a Monday night and we were able to get a table with view of TVs easily. There is a cool water station too that should be standard for bars! The food at Sama is expensive however we had the cauliflower and the burger and both were fantastic and unfortunately for my wallet the flavor justifies the price. $5 for a tiny side of fries is diabolical though and I would recommend they try to have more reasonably priced bar snacks. Read moreWe went mid-day Friday and there was plenty of seating, with a smattering of folks, some with their pups. I counted 9 TV screens, and one moving picture screen. There are some video arcade games, a Rori ice cream cooler, some table games on a shelf, some great wall art, merch, and of course, beer on tap and a beer cooler. (The beer cooler here is not a walk-in.) Barcodes on the table to order bites from Sama San Roque or you can order from the walk up window. Really happy to see this location finally up and running....
