Been to the TeeOff at least 150 to 200 times over the past 20 years. Came in on a Saturday night after screwing up my back this week. (4.13.24) Was just looking for a booth with a bit of space so that I could sit comfortably. I asked for that exactly and I originally got a "no problem". There were 5 tables open but the only ones we were offered unfortunately were the 2 tiny ones in the middle of the main room that faced other people. It was just two of us but there was no way many more people were coming in at that point since it was right at 9pm. The woman who greeted us just pointed at one of the small tables and walked off before fully seating us. Then I watched as she walked to the back, talked to a guy with longer hair, and saw him shake his head and look right at us. Granted it was later in the night, so I understand they probably wanted to go home. But TeeOff always serves till at least 930 on a Saturday and there was still at least 30 people in the restaurant otherwise we wouldn't have even even tried.
When I pointed at the other three open 4 person tables, I was told no, sorry, nothing I can do. I said I'm sorry, I just need something better for my back. She didn't budge. She said sorry there was nothing she could do. 😑
They were obviously happy for us to leave. So we left. Not cool but better than sticking around.
If you don't want people coming for dinner right at 9, change your hours. Don't be like this. I was just after somewhere comfortable and TeeOff was first to mind. This certainly ruined that. And it is extremely frustrating since it's right after I had to convince my wife to give it one more try tonight.
Ive had a less that ideal experience the last two times we went but this was even worse. Totally different to the attitude they used to have.
Won't be back for a bit.
Never want to ruin it for others but tbh, idk that I could recommend it anymore either. The food quality has gone down, prices up, and the service has not been great for some time. But this took the...
Read moreThis restaurant seriously needs to reevaluate its operations. I recently dined at tee off and the experience was unacceptable from start to finish. I can’t stress enough how disappointing it was.
Service: Upon arrival, my child and I waited 15 minutes just to be acknowledged, even though there were no other patrons waiting. I eventually had to find the host myself.
Facilities: After being seated, my son needed to use the restroom, only to find there was no toilet paper. When I approached the attendant, she suggested using toilet seat covers instead, which was shocking and unacceptable.
Food Quality: I ordered the prime ribeye, which turned out to be old and unappetizing. After one bite, I left the rest untouched.
Context: What made this even worse was the situation we were coming from. Due to fires and power outages, we had no electricity or food at home. We drove from Calabasas to Santa Barbara in search of better weather and a decent meal, only to be met with one of the worst dining experiences in over 23 years.
Final Thoughts: Despite everything, I didn’t even complain to the staff. I paid the full bill and left. This restaurant needs serious improvement. To anyone considering dining here, I recommend you think twice. I’m only sharing this experience to help others make an...
Read moreEverything started out pretty well, until the food starting coming out. We asked for balsamic vinaigrette on a salad, and they brought us one soaked in a pool of red wine vinegar with no oil. When we asked to get some of it poured out the server said "Oh, he always does that", referring to the cook in the kitchen. Then it gets really weird when both of us observed the server walk to a trash can nearby and use her hand to hold the salad in the bowl while pouring out the excess dressing. When confronted, she said she used a fork. I wanted to believe her, but we didn't see her pick one up or drop it before leaving the trash can and walking the plate back to us. This occurred within a clear view of us, so unless the fork disappeared into thin air, I can't explain it. Regardless of that, we declined the replacement salad they offered and moved on to the main courses. Although the steaks were cooked well, they had some tough silverskin or fat that was unedible. My girlfriend had the prime rib and I had the New York strip. We were not offered any concession for the inconvenience, and the food was not at all worth the $100 we spent on...
