Reasons for this review as follows.

Was offered well below spot price for a portion of a gold necklace I wasn't intending to sell. 24 dollars for over half gram of 23k gold. March 2024.

Was told the cost of a solid 18k 10mm clasp would be $150.00. very inconsistent with the above offer.

Was offered free service for a ring to be unbent but $70.00 for fixing a small crack. The quoted cost of welding is $30.00.

Conclusion: would not recommend Greg's service. He stated he sends out to another jeweler anyway so it's a pass through project.

I had a very clear vision for my engagement ring and sent my now-husband several rings as inspiration. He collaborated with Greg to combine the best elements of each, and the final result exceeded all my expectations. My fiancé and I went to Stephan’s to design an engagement ring together. The whole process took about ~7 weeks from going in for the first time for info, and for the ring to be completed. We wanted to go somewhere local because Santa Cruz is a very special place for us, and I’m SO happy we did. Both Leslie & Greg are so knowledgeable and such a delight to work with. My ring came out even more stunning than I could have ever imagined. We will be going back for polishing and other ring maintenance.
