Read moreMust-visit destination for backpackers - this shop has literally every item in my backpacking kit, most of them UL. It’s amazing. I cannot recommend highly enough if you want a much more sophisticated selection than at REI. Unbelievably, they carry dozens of tiny brands I have only seen online - and this store actually has them so you can see them in person. Nitecore, hyperlite, soto, Nemo, Western Mountaineering - plus great selection of fuel stoves hats jackets maps tents chairs etc. I think the word I’m looking for is - (as loathe as I am to use it) - “curated”!

Read moreStopped in for about 10 minutes. Got asked if I needed help 7 times (I actually counted) even though I said I was just browsing at the start. Went in with the intention of buying something, to support local but ended up leaving after being literally followed around the store. One of the workers even blocked off the used gear section with their body so I thought it was off limits. Also only about 1/3 of the items even have a price listed on them which frankly is a pet peeve of mine.
