This hotel is my absolute favorite hotel in all of Santa Fe. It is so quiet and peaceful. The wooden doors and thick glass block out all sounds from outside. The rooms are newly renovated and fresh and modern. Housekeeping works very hard and makes sure your room is top notch every time. The air conditioner works perfectly and is very powerful. I truly feel at home here. The staff is always so warm and welcoming. Everything I have asked for they have accommodated. I am truly sad to have to leave. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I honestly wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Santa Fe. This place is just so cozy and inviting. It’s two blocks from the plaza and parking is very affordable compared to literally everywhere else downtown. It’s cheaper than the all of the parking garages. The wifi is super fast! When I come back, I won’t ever stay anywhere else. Juan is the best!

What you need to know is: it’s clean (mostly), there’s a kureg & pods, & close to the plaza AND it’s a remodeled motel, so it is not for light sleepers (cars right by the window, thin walls, even the refrigerator buzzed on and off all night). It feels very mom and pop (some of the toiletries we’ve seen in Airbnbs), the comforters weren’t the same, one of the lotions & one of the coffee packets were open & partially used, the USB port wasn’t usable because it had been pushed in at an angle. The shower goods are squeeze bottles which might be challenging for arthritis hands. I can’t say what kind of restaurant they have, I waited a while to be seated while the staff were chilling & looking right at me, so I left without even seeing a menu. I think the most annoying thing is charging for parking. They have a huge lot, and it’s not like there are other options near.

This was a new, more "upscale" option among the Choice Hotel brands (they have a good points system for moderate/low-end digs). It is an older motel with a huge parking lot (some of which should revert to something other than asphalt imagine the run-off!). Super location for any downtown or major hotel/conference activities. Very friendly & helpful front desk staff. Poor snack selection and you have to pay for it, they can't charge the room. The LED light bar behind the TV was meant to look cool, I guess, but you can't turn it off & I prefer a floor or sofa to most Choice Hotels mattresses so I had to cover it with a towel. They did a low-cost job on the rehab: tiny sink, no room for your stuff, no vent fan in bathroom only a not-too-clean window; bathroom amenities included squeeze bottles of some unknown industrial waste posing as shampoo, body wash & conditioner (okay, not that bad but difficult to use and who knows what's in that junk). The "suite" meant a comfy sofa & TV room and a bedroom just barely big enough for a king bed with another LED indirect light behind the bed. No television there. It took me a few minutes to learn how to turn off that silly light bar. Worst thing: paper thin walls. The neighbors were having a good old time, but I would have preferred not to hear them. Pay the extra 50 bucks and stay at the El Dorado or somewhere lese if you want a nicer room. This is a moderate price for the area with a very cool location and friendly staff but the negatives mean I won't return, despite frequent trips to my State Capital for...

The hotel was with walking distance to the plaza, churches, little grocery store and food trucks near outside of plaza. Online booking was easy and checkin was very welcoming when I arrived. I had requested things for my stay and they were all there at arrival. Got in late and the attached Chinese restaurant was not only convenient to have but delicious. Tea and coffee in lobby very nice. Housekeeping A BIG SHOUT OUT TO. The 2 ladies that took care of my room for the 7 nights were fantastic. the room was spotless, shower gel refilled when needed, etc. enough towels there for a family let alone just myself. Pool was just big enough and clean. Plenty of pool towels and loungers. King size bed and 4 pillows were so comfortable. Air conditioner worked so well even for July in Santa Fe that sometimes needed to shut off lol. But glad i could control from remote. Felt very very safe traveling alone my room on 2ns floor outside walkup. The maintenance man saw me ready to go downstairs when leaving and he carried my bag down wo me asking. if there was a con that I could think of, i am really stretching to write one, is the young staff could use a little more knowledge on questions with public transportation, getting around. They do have maps for you but i had to go online and google anything about that subject. But if that is the only thing you can say negative about a hotel you stayed 7 nights at, WOW stay here!!! ps the sunsets from the 2nd floor was fantastic, you get to see the Sandia sunset you look for in NM....

The room was great, the parking was great, the location was great and the price was good. Unfortunately, they screwed up the reservation. When I made the reservation several weeks in advance, I specifically requested a suite on the ground floor because I am physically disabled, and I needed easy access to parking. The girl said that was no problem and that they would put that in the notes. When we checked in, we were informed that there are no suites on the ground floor at all. The young man checking us in was very nice and apologized. We made it work, but it was a compromise. When we asked for a late check out, we were told 1140 was the latest we could get and I stated that given the compromise we had to make for their error in making the reservation that we would like a little more consideration, so that we could possibly check out as late as one. The girl at the desk said this was impossible and she would have to talk to the manager. The manager was dismissive and disrespectful. When I made my case for why we should be allowed a late check out not only did he deny that they had made any mistakes on the reservation but he said "how about if I just give you an 11 o'clock check out and you leave now". Based on this complete lack of empathy and customer service alone I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. That manager is not the kind of person who should be representing ANY customer service...
