This coffee shop has been a disappointment over and over. The staff is rude and dismissive, like they’re doing you a favor by just taking your order. One employee in particular (she looks like Josh from blues clues, lower space buns w/hello kitty clips. so you know exactly who I mean) is consistent unhelpful and brushes people off when there’s an issue.
The food isn’t much better. I’ve ordered I’ve ordered their quiche several times, and at least five times (one being today) was unfortunately raw. When I pointed it out in the past, nothing, no apology, no refund, no replacement. Employee just brushed it off like it didn’t matter.
And to top it all off, I even left a 20% tip once and she couldn’t even bother to say thank you. That was the final straw for me. For a place that charges super elevated prices you’d expect better service and food that is actually cooked. Sadly you’ll find neither here. Also I would like to add that their parking situation is a nightmare, you’re better off going to Starbucks at least you’ll know you’ll get good service and...
Read moreI've been coming to this place for last 10 years regularly since it's my local coffee shop and it is next to a good, small bookstore with excellent book selection, so I was shocked and appealed by what happened this morning. I came with my friend from NYC wanting to proudly share my little hangout and I was accompanied my emotional support dog. We were informed that dogs can not come in so I showed emotional support animal photo ID and we purchased breakfast and coffee. I got up from the table and showed again the dog's ID, but it wasn't enough. The employee was very rude and made me wrong for being there. Eventually we felt so bad the we had to stop our breakfast and leave. Nobody apologized or tried to stop us from leaving. I was very embarrassed and upset. My friend from NY said that he didn't see anything...
Read moreDTS ( or "the Sub," our affectionate name for this delightful hangout since it moved from the Santa Fe Plaza area back in the early 90s) has been our "home away from home" for the 27 years we've lived in Santa Fe. Always before leaving town we stop in for a farewell cup, and on our return it's where we go to be welcomed home, often before unpacking! The barristas are mostly young folks-- college students and artists-- and the roster changes from time to time as is natural, but we have come to know many of them over the years and find them as considerate and efficient as anyone could wish. (A tip to the possibly impatient reviewer who wrote otherwise: if you're kind to others, they'll be kind to you!) A real plus is the beautifully landscaped back patio, with the recent addition of a natural stone fountain-- very soothing on a hot afternoon, and a perfect place for poets, writers,...
