Freezing but fun!!! The Blue Hole is so beautiful and romantic! If you go in the evening, you’ll likely have the hole to yourself or just a few other couples. During the day it is packed with families. Everyone we met there was incredibly nice! The best way to enter the hole is to just jump in from the small stone diving board or the 20ft rock cliff. It’ll be freezing but you will get used to it! If jumping isn’t your style, try taking the stairs in and out about 3 times. On the 3rd time going in, you should be adjusted to the cold and able to swim. There are lots of picnic tables near the Blue Hole and around the grass and creek to relax, have a picnic, and get a tan. Close by there is a lake with a Wibit, which is like a water playground complete with slides, rock climbing walls, tunnels, an obstacle course, and a water trampoline. After a few jumps into the Blue Hole, and a few kisses in the center, my husband and I enjoyed running around on the wibit and getting a good workout cuz really you’re never too old...

Stopped here in November 2016 on our way to California as this place is a popular Route 66 destination/attraction. The park is well kept, appeared to have plenty of parking for cars, and has a nice picnic area. If you are a Route 66 buff, I recommend stopping here for a picnic or a refreshing swim along your way.
Note: if traveling with a big rig, might have some difficulty accessing the park, particularly during busy times. There doesn't appear to be parking designated for larger vehicles. Also, getting on and off the interstate was a bit cumbersome as the streets around this park are...

Also, just do the jump. It is a bit nerve racking and after you jump it feels weird being in mid air for as long as you are, but it really isn't very big of a drop and the biggest thing is the shock of the cold water hitting you. If you need to acclimate, go off the small diving board jump first. It takes awhile to swim to the entrance after jumping which is the hardest part of it all. The jump is easy, just do it! You'll be...
